Sat down here at 8pm on a Saturday evening. It was quite busy. It was difficult to get attention, you had to chase a waitress rather than them coming to you.Ordered drinks, starter and main course. Drinks came fairly quickly. Starter arrived at 8.30pm. Then we sat until 9.30pm with no food. We were sat next to a group of 4. The 1st diner had finished his meal before the 4th diner had got their food. At 9.30 I asked where the food was and I was told 'We only have a small kitchen'. I don't class myself as a business genius but the obvious answer is have less tables. Waitresses seem to be coming out with just one plate at a time.At 9.40 after waiting 1 hour 10 minutes for my meal, I paid for my drinks and left.Wild horses wouldn't drag me back there.

An excellent restaurant and worth seeking out (not in the best part of Koblenz). Genuine, tasty Greek food in stylish surroundings, good service and complementary Ouzo and Cherry liqueur.

This is our favorite hotel out of dozens we have visited in Europe in recent years. Philip and Corinna Zimmerman are the perfect hosts. They are young, enthusiastic, friendly, welcoming and offer perfect service. The restaurant is lovely with three types of seating areas - riverside terrace, old Germanic style or conservatory. The decor is lovely with tasteful displays of articles table decorations. The menu is varied, reflects local specialities and the quality of food is excellent. Service is efficient and friendly. The extensive wine list includes local varieties and of quality. Food prices are very reasonable and good value for money. This is an 'apartment hotel' which allows self catering or accommodation linked to the restaurant. There is no breakfast but nearby cafe provides at reasonable cost or one can obtain fresh bread and foods at shop and bakery 150 metres away. There are several apartments of various sizes and facilities. They have separate bedrooms, kitchen areas, lounges and bathrooms. All have a terrace or balcony with views of the River Mosel and the vineyards. The rooms are very clean, tastefully decorated with lovely, classy touches and very comfortable. Prices are very fair for the quality of accommodation. Good private parking and good wifi.
This is a very Balkan inspired restaurant with specialties from there. I had Argentinian steak and it wasnât very special. Ok but maybe the Balkan specialities would have tasted better.

We went to Winningen to check out the restaurants and parked close to Klein's Fronhof so we sat outside to have a drink. The two waiters were of a type, disinterested and surly. A cyclist who tried to leave his bike against the wall was severely chastised in no uncertain terms by mine host so he left without refreshment. Nothing wrong with the wine or coffee but the complete lack of hospitality was totally at odds with our experiences in Germany. The following evening we decided to try a meal there. Just after 8.00 pm I asked one of the waiters if we could have a table for two and was told no, the place was now closed. Now I'm sure he meant fully booked but he was brusque to the point of rudeness. We have another 4 days in the area and wont be returning. Fortunately the night before we had an excellent meal round the corner in Brunnenklause so we went back there to be greeted warmly and enjoyed another excellent meal.

Food and service is good and well worth a visit. The food is essentially Germanic but with imagination. You can escape the schnitzel here as they have other things on the menu. The food is good quality with seasonal specialties like spargel (asparagus), pfifferlinge (chanterelle), goose etc. The wine is good quality and of exceptionable value. The owner has his own vineyards The cost of meal and wine is so reasonable. If you are looking to visit this part of the Moselle you can stay in their hotel and enjoy a good restaurant. I've eaten here a few times and it has always been good. .
Warm welcome. Outstanding breakfast. Clean and comfortabel rooms. Calm surrounding area. Excellent start point to explore the area around Koblenz and the river Mosel.

The restaurant is placed in an historic castle mill from the 11th century. "Alte Mühle" Thomas Höreth is located in a sunny side valley of the Moselle. Steep terraced vineyards reach close to the mill. Pilgrims used to eat here in ancient times when they
