It had been some time since we had been to Orsay - I was looking forward to a return visit. The room in which we were seated was extremely noisy - I don't know whose idea the concrete floor was, but a concrete floor just amplifies everything - the noise was deafening. The noise issue was made worse by a large table next to us - they were shouting and carrying-on like they were at a sportsbar - I don't get it. Maybe a burger bar is a good setting for a shouting crowd, but when I am paying top dollar for a nice meal I expect a room where two people can actually have a conversation without shouting. I ordered the Caesar Salad and Beef Stroganoff. The salad was average, lacking personality - but I liked the large, cheesy crouton. The Beef Stroganoff was the best I have ever had: rich and delicious sauce, with shortrib chunks and super-wide, excellent noodles. Serivce was excellent - but the evening was tainted by the high noise level.

My goodness, our friend took us to try this little gem. We sat outside for lunch. MyHusband and friend ordered German beer and they both enjoyed so much. I had the falafel pita that was amazing, husband had the beef and pastrami on sweet bread, he loved it, our friend had a Ruben which was so huge she had to take half home. Awesome place, friendly service and the lunch crowd was not holding back! Wonderful experience. Thanks so much for the rave review. We are so happy to hear you enjoyed to first visit and expect to see you again soon. Cheers!

Very small (about 20 tops), very modestly furnished, very friendly and knowledgeable waiter (1 service person) and a delicious tapas/small plate menu in a chef-owned restaurant. The sauces, the sausages/charcuterie and bread are all home made. The veggies are all local - and some are or close to artisan. Not a huge menu but broad and diverse enough to put together a very satisfying and totally enjoyable meal. And, following other reviews, choosing the tres leches from the list of 4 home made desserts. That dessert was crazy good.
