Traditional restaurant near the coast. Specialists in home cooking and rices. It is recommended to ask for reservation in advance. Famous for our rices, they must be prereserve in order to serve them in their cooking point due to their profound elaboratio
Northern Spain offers fantastic cuisine - fresh, colourful and very tasty.Equally it is not confined to the bigger cities as I discovered when passing through this neat little village to which day trippers from nearby Bilbao head for. It is by a pretty river so is an alternative to local beach resorts.About half way down the main drag is this authentic family run establishment.Offering meat and fish alternatives this is delightful place to enjoy a proper, reasonably priced, freshly prepared meal.I can strongly recommend a gorgeous salmon dish based on a recipe I was told had been passed down to the present proprietor by her mother. The prawns are another highlight.

A restaurant I want to go back to because if I remember it several months hence it must have been good. It was 90 Euros for a huge seatplatter for two with a starter and an afters and a bottle of wine, coffee and even a chupito. The seafood was of the finest quality. The interior décor was also of interest. It looked like a large conservatory but with ambient lighting.

We went for my birthday and they were very friendly. Food was good but service was very quick.,it was not exactly a leisurely Italian style supper, but with a lot of kids in the restaurant, maybe that what most of their customers want?

We stopped here for lunch after a morning at the beach. The service was good and food very good too. Great tuna salad and Padron peppers. Would recommend. Short walk along the road from playa de ris.

First the location is superb, over a relaxed two hour lunch we watched the tide come in and learned the Spanish words 'Ria' [river mouth] and 'Marea' high tide]. It is stunning location, where they use fresh sea water to charge their live lobster and shellfish tanks. The food was superb, we had the BBQ mixed shellfish platter 2x2 for four people and could only just eat it all. Home made desserts, and local wines were fabulous.Highly recommended for a Taste of Cantabria.Recommend BOOKING and to arrive ON-TIME!

We went to this restaurant on 28 of August 2014. Huevo Trufado appeared to be a liquid egg with topinambur powder on top. Strange concept and not tasty at all. On the second we had a Carrillera Paco - pork cheek with fua gra and a Carne Roha- a steak that was served with sweet hazelnut paste that tasted just like nutella. Fua gra was a bit strange, however both the steak and callillera were good. Happily we were served a wonderful maiz bread, which helped us to cope with the food. Letely we found this bread in the bakery across the road from the restaurant. I would recommend the restaurant chef to focus first on the taste of food avoiding the risky combinations of products.
