Umberto, the owner's son who co-runs the restaurant, went out of his way to make me an authentic Napolitan pizza based on my palate. It was phenomenal. Our food was excellent and matched by superior VIP service. If you are looking for authentic regional food, look no further. And I promise, you will be out in plenty of time to make your ferry (but you won't want to leave!)

We have been to Ischia many times and dined at numerous restaurants. Still, La Lampara offers one of the best dining experiences. It is difficult to beat the location, situated on fourth floor with a splendid view of the sea and Castello Aragonese, The castello bathed in the yellow evening sun, takes your breath away. The service is as it should be on this fine dining restaurant: professional, impeccable, nice and attentive. The food is better than most other meals we had on Ischia. Highly recommended!

A beautiful restaurant with wonderful views (especially of the sunset) and a great staff. What I believe was the owner was very proud of his restaurant, made us feel very welcome and was extremely gracious. My starter of mussels and clams was a very large portion but it did lack flavor. I had a fresh fish as a main course, expertly filleted at the table by the presumed owner and very meaty. Again, though, not the most flavorful. Worse, my wife had a different fish and there were bones in virtually every mouthful. If it was me, I would not have been able to eat it. The owner also offered complimentary Limoncello but we were full.Again, would have loved to give it a higher review just because they tried so hard but the food was not perfect and the bones in my wifeâs fish were disappointing.

Imaginative, artistically created and deliciously prepared dishes in a setting surrounded by beautiful gardens. The fish, the pasta and the vegetables all transformed into unique presentations that are a delight to view and taste. The service staff is friendly and aims to please. The wine list is pleasantly overwhelming. Be sure to order a Dani Maison signature dessert too. This place is very special and among the best dining you could ever have the pleasure of experiencing.

We wanted to have something else than pasta and pizza. Porcavacca came across on Tripadvisor, so we booked a table - and we were definetely not disappointed! The manager of the restaurant was really friendly and professional and knew what to recommend to every customer. We had cold cuts charcuterie as a shared starter and as mains two different kind of steaks. The portions as well as the price of the food was just spot on. Excellent service, modern and cozy interior, great wines and perfect food. Porcavacca Steakhouse gets absolutely 10/10! We will come back next time!

We visited this past June for a birthday celebration and the first night of our trip to Italy. It was a highlight to be sure. We received a lovely tour of the castle and gardens which were so beautiful and interesting to hear the history. Afterwards, we chose a table with the most outstanding views of Ischia and the sea - it was hard to concentrate on anything else other than the sunset and the views. However, the food parallels the atmosphere as everything was delicious. Best grilled octopus, local wines, everything top notch. And great service as well. We had a truly memorable evening and we cannot wait to return.

Absolutely fabulous food, right on the beach, along with excellent, local wine served by a very knowledgeable owner. The owner, waitor and chef all very welcoming and friendly. I had tiny little, light as air dumplings with plump fresh muscles - heavenly!! Husband had linguine with octopus and squid, freshly caught that day, in a spicy tomato sauce. Mopped up the sauce with gorgeous, crusty chewy bread. This is a small, intimate restaurant, very relaxed atmosphere, expect to wait for excellent food that is cooked freshly for you, using local ingredients. We will definitely be back and recommend to all our friends who visit this magical island
