Went to visit this restaurant in Crawley with my parents and unfortunately, my experience could not have been worse. The place was nearly empty but still service was awful. We had go to looking for the waiter/waitress just to get the menus for the place. After waiting some more, we finally got our order taken.Since this is a "Spanish tapas" place, we decided to go with multiple small starters, both hot and cold. Most of the dishes were ok, nothing that stands out particularly, but then we got to the Spanish croquetas... First batch of two portions comes in and they are literally frozen on the inside, we tried the other one just to see that it wasn't an odd mistake, but all well frozen. We called the waiter, told him about this and kindly requested to get them replace. After a short while, they brought another couple of croquetas portions... And again all frozen inside... Mind you, this is now 4 different dishes that were delivered and not cooked properly. The restaurant didn't even check the replacement order to see if it was fine after the issue was highlighted. After this we decided to cut out losses and cancel the order. No real apology from the restaurant, no effort to make things right... Just awful service and food. No respectable did establishment will deliver twice a poorly cooked dish, not to mention the fact that probably all their food options are frozen based. This is certainly not a good representation of what a Spanish restaurant is, the are certainly far better options even in Crawley if you crave this type of food, otherwise Haywards Heath or Guildford are good alternatives for Spanish tapas. Can't stress this enough, avoid this place and save yourself a bad experience that might tarnish you opinion on Spanish food.Dear pipebk. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are sorry that your experience with us did not meet your expectations on this occasion. We aim to deliver top quality food and service. We stopped off here for a quick bite, having arrived at the hotel just a few minutes before. Food was freshly cooked and well presented. Waitress was lovely. Very friendly. Took a while to pay - because she was attending to a lady who had fallen nearby - we didn't mind!

I love Dijo! I feel like it is quite underrated for what they offer. You feel like you're stepping into a cafe in the Mediterranean when you go here. They offer a wide selection of both British favourites and Portuguese food. I can't say anything about the British food as I haven't tried it but the Portuguese food is really fantastic and the portions are great. I highly recommend this place for a spot of lunch!

We often eat here before flying as there is little choice before security at North Terminal. Usually find the food average and the staff pleasant but this time it was a different experience. The staff were ill-informed and unhelpful. All we wanted to do was swap the side of peas that came with the pie for any other side or a small amount of salad as one of our party can't eat peas. The staff members had a meeting, then called the manager over, who then went to speak to the chef, who then decided we could either have a mushroom (these were getting a hard sell from staff as they had a lot to get rid of due to phasing out all their mushroom dishes from the menu!) or ONE slice of tomato instead of the peas! All rather embarrassing! We eventually got our pies which were completely over-cooked with inedible, rock-hard, black pastry and dried up innards. The chips were limp and the peas came in a tiny dish the size of a ten pence piece. The burger was nothing like the picture being advertised and was lacking flavour. The coleslaw on the side was literally a teaspoon sized amount and the burgers were tiny and dried up. When a waiter asked us how our meal was (as he ran past our table) he just shrugged when we complained. All in all, a very disappointing experience and didn't get our holiday off to a good start!

Whilst price is never the best measure for a restaurant quality, this visit was a bit disappointing. There was nothing specific that you could point at but service a bit hit and miss throughout the meal. The quail was slightly overcooked and dry, smoked duck starter a bit bland although the crab and prawn starter very good. Two courses for £29.95 per head is a bit steep especially as many dishes had price supplements. Wines by the glass also on the expensive side. Nothing really memorable about dining here

Conveniently located just five minutes north of Londonâs Gatwick Airport in Horley, Il Sorriso, is your local Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria, serving the very best of Italian cuisine in the very heart of Sussex and Surrey. Offering nothing but fresh auth
Having enjoyed a matinee in the West End, then found nearby restaurants absolutely heaving, we decided to catch a train back to Horley, and tried Il Sorriso. And what a find! The waiting staff were really friendly, and seemed to interchange between tables seamlessly. The food was sensational. My wife really enjoyed her macaroni, while I demolished my seafood risotto, packed full of octopus, cockles, mussels, shrimps, prawns and topped with a king prawn. A nice glass of Italian red rounded things off nicely. About half the tables were taken, and there was a lovely ambiance among the diners. I will definitely be back.We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review of your positive experience with us. We always aim to provide the very best authentic Italian experience and we are pleased to hear that we have achieved it on your first visit! Do come back and visit us again soon and try some of our other dishes.

A proper country village pub, serving real ales, lagers, ciders, a good choice of wines and just as important, good pub grub!
Enjoyed a fantastic dinner at The Half Moon. We had rib-eye steak and liver and bacon. Both dishes were absolutely perfect. The liver was so tender, like eating moose. (Not the animal!) Both had real home made chips and great vegetables. Dessert was apple and toffee crumble, amazing. Thanks chef, you are a champion. Servers were lovely as well.
