When rating this place very good it is mostly due to the very wide selection of pizzas and the way they were prepared. It is as close to real Italian pizzas as you can get in Denmark. I guess baked in stone ovens. The ingredients used were very good making it a pleasure to eat. The town of Hirtshals has many Norwegian tourists as it is a major ferry port to several Norwegian towns. Other tourists are also using this route travelling to and from Norway, particularly in the summer season. Thus, when visiting in July, the place was quite crowded, but tables are available both indoor, at the front and in the backyard, so there is plenty of room. The waiters were all friendly and attentive, but when paying the bill, the room behind the counter become quite crowded. The waiters were almost standing on top of each other for handling new orders, delivering dishes and handling payment. The place is also good for families, so it may be absolutely recommended.

Førhen Hirtshals´ stolthed: En pæn og præsentabel grillbar med store portioner til en fornuftig pris. Nu slidt, uhumsk og stinkende grillbar med store portioner til store priser. Bestilte mad, havde valget mellem at sidde i den kloaklugtende fløj med toiletterne eller i selve køkkenlokalet. Valgte det sidste, og sad i en sky af tobaksrøg fra spilleautomatområdet. Tænk at køre hjem fra en grillbar uden at lugte af friture overhovedet, men til gengæld af cigaretrøg i uhørt grad. Hyttefad: Prøv at kigge i jeres "restaurant"; Alle ledninger er gule og klamme, alt træværk skriger på nyt maling, idet det er gult og klamt og alt er generelt bare slidt (op).

I've been stopping here before taking the ferry to Norway on numerous times. I am always met with a smile and extraordinary good service, even for Danmark. The cafe has lots of ferry-guests, and delivers high standard food even on the busiest nights. I am always happy when I leave.

I wasn't very pleased with this place. The waitress brought tea ready made, it as way too strong, and the pizza we ordered, although cheap, but it was very runny, too many sauces, too much oil and I didn't feel the taste. Maybe other dishes are nice, but this particular pizza was just gross.(the first one in the menu).

Without reading any reviews we decided to try this small local place. First of all the staff were very friendly with us and helped us when we only spoke English. The food was absolutely Delicious! We have traveled to various places, including England and this was probably my favorite Fish N Chips. Was perfectly done, not soggy or greasy... just very nicely done and delicious. Great place. We all enjoy our food.

The restaurant is on the first floor with a nice view over the North Sea. Friendly service and English menu. We chose the Shellfish Tapas which is a nice presentation including mussels, fried calamari, crab legs, croissants with shellfish salad, blinis with salmon caviar, tomato-mozzarella and prawns.On the menu, you will find hamburger, steak, salmon and spare ribs.I highly recommend the Shellfish Tapas: fresh from the sea and high quality!

A young team offers innovative meals. There is one menu and you can choose 3, 5 or 7 courses. There are also single courses available. We chose the 5 course menu which was delicious. Friendly, very attentive service. For slow food lovers who value high quality ingredients and ambitious cooks, this is the right place.
