This was a superb dining experience. Relaxed but efficient service, good choice, dishes served beautifully (my turbot was just divine): not fussy but just the exemplar of how good food should be cooked. A fine choice of inexpensive wines. The restaurant itself is light and airy: the owners are very much in evidence keeping an eye on quality, and they really have something good going on here. The pinnacle of cooking to me is "Could I have done this at home?". I couldn't hope to emulate this quality of cooking which to me made the evening so memorable.

We have been here many times and it is always enjoyable. The whole experience from the welcome to the fair wells is a must, but please note that there is no choice of menu so if you have special dietary needs it is well worth asking them beforehand. The food is always excellent and something special, this time we had pork cheeks which was a first for me and were superb. Please allow several hours to eat the many courses, drink and chat.Great value for money, but please think before you go who will drive or who is the lead walker if living locally!
At lunnchtime the â¬16 menu du marché offers you a choice of three main courses, then dessert or cheese, and includes a drink and coffee. We had a fricassée de poulet with riz pilaff which was really very good indeed. The menu changes âregularlyâ and there is a good choice on the a la carte. The bread was too notch as was the coffee and our lunch for two was great value at just â¬40 with an apperitif each.

We've been here twice before and this place never disappoints. The pizzas are fantastic. I had a Thai pizza. I wasn't sure that this was going to be a great combination (since I don't associate Thai food with pizzas!) But it was simply delicious! I'm vegetarian but they were happy to prepare it without the chicken. My husband had a fish pizza which had plenty fish on it. We treated ourselves to a pudding each - the cafe gourmands - which consisted of a plate filled with a fine selection of mini puddings as well as a coffee! The staff were incredibly friendly, as usual, and were even brave enough to attempt joking with us despite our pitiful grasp of the language! (I promise we're working on this! ) That reminds me, the menus are in French and English - very useful! All on all, a lovely meal - merci beaucoup!

The new-look Globe (revamped after the previous hit-and-miss management era) is an excellent place for a delicious lunch. With a fine location on the town square, this restaurant is all that a friendly, bustling French brasserie should be. The staff are welcoming and attentive; the menu is not overburdened with too many dishes; and the food is delicious and presented with style. I look forward to coming back to try the dinner menu as well!

French provincial fine dining at its best, and good value for money to boot. This was our Christmas present to ourselves - my wife and adult daughter and I - and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The menu is a little limited and you really need to order all the courses at the same time as they're all prepared more-or-less from scratch and some of the deserts can take a while. Service is efficient and unhurried, with plenty of time between courses - I think we spent nearly three hours there! The ambience in an establishment of this type can depend very much on one's fellow-diners so I can only comment on what we experienced - and I think peaceful and refined come to mind. And no muzak! This is yet another local restaurant we shall be returning to.

We ate here this evening to celebrate our anniversary. The staff are charming and the decor is really tasteful. Also, the loos are immaculate which is particularly important when dining with children. The menu is fairly limited (always a good sign I think) but the chef happily went off piste for me (vegetarian) and my youngest who is just not very adventurous. The food was very, very rich but delicious in equal measure. Also we were not rushed in anyway so we ate and chatted at our leisure. We saw people being turned away so probably best to book. We'll be back!

Despite having lived in the area for 15 years this was my first meal in this restaurant... and it seems I should have done this a lot earlier!Super friendly staff, good menu and beautiful prepared food.My guest (a regular at the restaurant) and I chose the daily special - lasagne - which was a delight. Cooked with beautiful beef, spiced lightly, with layers of pasta and bechamel sauce, this recipe was not swimming in the usual tomato sauce mix we Brits generally associate with lasagne. It was a pure delight.Followed by a gorgeously presented tiramisu, topped with fresh cream and strawberries, guaranteed that no more meals were required today!I will return!
