Went to visit this restaurant in Crawley with my parents and unfortunately, my experience could not have been worse. The place was nearly empty but still service was awful. We had go to looking for the waiter/waitress just to get the menus for the place. After waiting some more, we finally got our order taken.Since this is a "Spanish tapas" place, we decided to go with multiple small starters, both hot and cold. Most of the dishes were ok, nothing that stands out particularly, but then we got to the Spanish croquetas... First batch of two portions comes in and they are literally frozen on the inside, we tried the other one just to see that it wasn't an odd mistake, but all well frozen. We called the waiter, told him about this and kindly requested to get them replace. After a short while, they brought another couple of croquetas portions... And again all frozen inside... Mind you, this is now 4 different dishes that were delivered and not cooked properly. The restaurant didn't even check the replacement order to see if it was fine after the issue was highlighted. After this we decided to cut out losses and cancel the order. No real apology from the restaurant, no effort to make things right... Just awful service and food. No respectable did establishment will deliver twice a poorly cooked dish, not to mention the fact that probably all their food options are frozen based. This is certainly not a good representation of what a Spanish restaurant is, the are certainly far better options even in Crawley if you crave this type of food, otherwise Haywards Heath or Guildford are good alternatives for Spanish tapas. Can't stress this enough, avoid this place and save yourself a bad experience that might tarnish you opinion on Spanish food.Dear pipebk. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are sorry that your experience with us did not meet your expectations on this occasion. We aim to deliver top quality food and service. We came here for my husbands birthday. There was a card for him when we arrived, which was a lovely touch.Good atmosphere, despite being nearly empty. Excellent service. Food was amazing, good choice and beautifully presented. Each dish was a surprise, well presented and tasted delicious. We will be back!Hi Penguin, in my opinion its the little touches that separate you from the rest! Obviously you need to get the fundamentals right first, which it sounds like we did? Thank you for your positive feedback. Best wishes, Joel

Had a meal for 6 on Bank holiday Monday.Unfortunately 2 steaks that were ordered medium rare were served well done. However, they were replaced with apologies and without question with 2 perfect steaks and to my surprise,we weren't charged for these items. All of the other meals were perfect and we had a great time.Sometimes its about how you correct a problem and the Talbot deals with it perfectly and I would"nt hesitate in returning.

My wife and me have been coming to this establishment for quite some time now. Upon arrival we are always met by friendly staff who are efficent and take pride in customer service. The food is always delivered on time and never ceases to impress. Breakfast, lunch or dinner i would recommend highly to anyone wanting a taste of France. Nothing shy of excellent especially the manager Erik who always brings a personal touch to the service by coming over with his mild manner and bubbly personality.

Went on a Saturday night in a party of four. The restaurant was part full. Decor simple, modern and unfussy. The menu had some attractive choices including vegetarian options. These were adapted for vegans by removing elements, rather than these being vegan dishes by design, although our vegans still enjoyed them. There was a delicious little free taster of which I could have easily eaten a full plate. Food was very good quality and service attentive. Itâs not cheap but the food is of the standard of more expensive places, plus Lindfield is a pretty village and parking so much easier/less stressful than most of the local towns. Would definitely go again. I know they do a full vegan menu on other occasions. This review would have been a 5 if there had been a vegan choice that was less of a compromise.
