Loved the minimal atmosphere in this old building . Service was friendly and smiling . Food was superb !! Both German and Italian dishes are sooo tasty . Plates are soo big : e.g. schnitzel portion is with two schnitzels and a small mountain of pommes frites . Soups are very - very tasty . As far as drinks , there is beer , wine and also whiskey . A place where locals eat . Prices very reasonable ( 20 euros for : a soup , a beer and a schnitzel )

Stumbled across this gem of a brewpub and restaurant whilst exploring the lovely half timbered town. Popular with both visitors and locals, it provides an extensive buffet, plus a number of their own brewed beers. Beautifully decorated, it would be very easy to spend a lot of time here. Unfortunately we didn't have the time to eat, but the buffet looked superb. We did manage to sample the beers though which where very good indeed. With beer as good as this, I'd expect the food to be equally as good. Will be going back on my next trip to the area for sure.

I liked the location of the restaurant and also enjoyed the food. Only thing I have to criticise is that the knifes obviously needed some sharpening, since mine did not work as it should have. However, everyone was extremely friendly and I had a nice evening. Will definitely visit again!

I happened to find this place by accident when we pulled off the A7 highway and followed 8 km of winding forest road to a quaint little town.Apparently the meister has won several European competitions for the best wurst. There are two sides, a restaurant and the other side is a deli with a take out windows. Small seating outside on the street.Tried the curry wurst. It was ok but the sauce was very tasty. The staff were friendly and they gave us some samples of sausages we wanted to try, like the blood sausages with paprika. They are also know for a wurst with praline. We didn't try it but it is also sold as a souvenir, in a box like chocolates. If you happen to be driving along the A7 and have time to drop in to Hann Muden and visit the best wurst in Europe, you should.
