Reviews on European food in Hammamet, Nabeul Governorate, Tunisia. Sunbathing, al fresco dining and late-night discos are a way of life in Hammamet, the Tunisian St-Tropez. Located on the fertile Cap Bon Peninsula, about 40 miles south of Tunis, the bayfront resort is surrounded by verdant hills and citrus groves. When not basking on Hammamet Beach, browse the markets for local pottery or wander through the medina (old city) with walls that date to 1500. Summer brings festival fever to the city with plenty of music and theatrical offerings.

Situated on Marina Yasmine Hammamet quay, Le Mistral has 4 terraces on 4 different levels for a wonderful and unobstructed view of Yasmine Hammamet in addition to 2 well-appointed air-conditioned spaces overlooking the quay. According to your wishes and y
We saw Le Mistral online and decided to give it a visit for our last night out. The Restaurant is placed on the harbour with lovely views out across the sea. We chose our seats as it was quiet, it was early, and ordered some drinks. We then ordered starters of 2 Briks one meat and one tuna the Lamb cous-cous and a mixed grill. We were given a basket of bread with some harissa, butter, yogurt garlic and olives whilst our food was prepared. The food arrived and was excellent, well cooked and tasted great. After we finished the starters our mains arrived not long after and again was great, not only cooked well but well presented, the mixed grill was excellent and the lamb cous-cous was superb. The service was excellent and the staff we friendly and really helpful. As the night went on we discovered La Mistral was extremely popular with the locals who eat here all the time. All in all an excellent meal finished off with a perfect Tunisian coffee to finish off all for 93 Tdn about £27. We were all inclusive at our hotel but ate out five of the seven nights we stayed. More people should try this instead of staying in so often, the food and the people are great. Thanks for your visit and youâre welcome

Delicious food, great service, excellent prices. We had dinner here on our first evening here. We sat indoors, though others with warmer clothes sat outdoors. Service was very courteous, friendly and helpful, though for some, their English was a bit limited. We ate steak and fish, followed by a scrumptious almond flavoured gateau. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and deliciously wholesome! £20 per person. Great value for money.

We visited this restaurant just by a coincidence and loved what we ate. Then we went there again. Everything, including the atmosphere, the hospitality and of course the food! Thanks for the amazing food and wine. Try sorbet colonel, mousse and creme caramel as dessert.

Went here to take my girlfriend out for a special evening, and was definitely the right choice of restaurant. Everything was just perfect. The setting of the restaurant, the outside terrace, the chilled atmosphere, the service and food were all top notch. We were made to feel very special, and the menu was amazing. It is more weighted towards seafood, which we both had for starters, but we both ended up ordering two different steaks, and boy was I glad I did. One of the best steaks in bernaise sauce I have ever eaten! It was superb. Although we ate outside on the terrace, as it was a lovely warm evening, the inside of the restaurant looked really nice, and very tastefully decorated to make you feel that you are in a very nice restaurant. I'm gutted that we weren't in Tunisia longer, as we would have loved to have gone back. Would definitely recommend for couples. Great night out, with a romantic setting, awesome food, and very well priced too. We also ate at Le Berberouse, but we both agreed that barring the view, we both much preferred Le Voilier!! If I ever go back to Hammamet, I would definitely eat here again!

We came here on our last night after being recommended by our hotel. Found staff all very friendly, especially with our four year old daughter. Although there wasnât any child menus to choose from they did do us a small dish of plain pasta for her. We had 2 fillet steaks & a bottle of red. Steak was cooked medium rare as requested & served with a jacket Potato, which made a pleasant change to the hotel food. After our meal we were treated to a sorbet & a damson shot complimentary. They then even ordered us a taxi on them, after us paying 7td to get there. Which is still a great price! Had a lovely evening all for about £33. Bargain!
Where to eat Mediterranean food in Hammamet: The Best Restaurants and Bars

The restaurant is actually downstairs behind the coffee bar, so donât go to the wrong place. The service is a bit slow and disorganised but donât let that put you off - the food is excellent. We shared the squid to start then had seafood spaghetti and a pasta with pork as main courses. There was plenty of food, we were both too full for deserts - and all the food was very tasty. I really enjoyed my meal.
