Set opposite the castle view on top of the tourist info office, we have the best views of the valley with a family terrace accommodating 16 people, also seating for 28 people outside and 44 inside, our food is all made on site even down to the pastry used
Good location with elevated views over the old town Friendly and attentive staff. The sign outside claims everything is freshly prepared. We had already eaten at lunch time but stopped off in the evening for a glass of wine. There was a paella being cooked outside near our table which was properly prepared and cook for the next table. It looked and smelt superb. We decided to have some tapas and were not disappointed with probably the best garlic prawns and homemade croquettes that we have had. The croquettes were full of ham flavoured chicken.

Impeccably clean cafeteria. Friendly and helpful service. We just opted for bacon and egg with salad and croquettes and chips. Freshly cooked and good value. Very nice coffee. Busy at lunchtime with local Spaniards and visitors. Would use again when back in Guadalest.

What more could we ask for? This friendly and efficient cafe is right in the square in Guadalest - possibly the best location in Spain. (It is next to the door to the prison.) We were immediately greeted when we went inside (all tables outside were full). Lots of choice on the menu. We went for spinach croquettes, Spanish omelette and a salad. Plenty for 2 people - in fact we struggled to finish. The total, including 2 bottles of water and a coffee, was less than 20 euros - bargain! The food was fantastic, staff all very professional, quick service and the toilets were immaculate (and flowers outside the window!). The cakes looked amazing - so we will be back on our next visit to my favourite Spanish village Muchas gracias por su comentario sobre nuestra cafeterÃa. Esperamos verles pronto por aquÃ. De paso les deseamos un feliz año nuevo.

Just top of the bill. Food is superb. Service excellent. We came here on recommendation by my parents and drove from Moraira to Castell de Castells. It is a small search in the small village to find the iron door entrance. Absolutely worth to drive a while to have a wonderful lunch or diner.

I have been going to Ponsoda for over 20 years and it never fails to impress. The view has always been fantastic, however the view is even better with the addition of the glass to stop the wind. Now a fantastic view with no wind, overlooking the valley, can't beat it! The alioli is amazing with a good kick. We had the mixed paella, which was lovely. The waiter is always really attentive. Try the limited edition Cider, it's like champagne and beats Aspall, which has to say something! We used to go with our friend Chris who lived in Bollula. Unfortunately he recently passed away, so Ponsoda was the only choice to raise a glass and create fantastic memories we will treasure forever. Well done and keep up the good work, see you soon x

Great place with a Michelin smile. Good food, simple enough to enjoy it. Great pre fix, good selection of wines, can't go wrong.

Iâll be honest: This place looks a lot like a tourist trap with cheep outdoor furnitures etc... and only dragged the family in as it was highly rated in TA. And rightly so! Food options were many, and despite the glossy menu, it all tasted really good! It was a Monday lunch and the place was half full. Service was ok. Not great, not poorPrice is really good considering the location. If you like pizza, try the pan-pizza variation in the back of the menu. And do try out the desserts. Will be back

We dined on Saturday night to be told the menu being offered was just tapas. The food was amazing and kept coming! Freshest of ingredients, beautiful prawns and was so typically Spanish in a pretty restaurant with a great atmosphere. We had no idea of the cost and were delighted to have a bill of 45 euros between two including a beer and 3 glasses of cava. So worth a visit.

We have been to this restaurant for Sunday lunch twice and the food is good quality and reasonably priced. The restaurant has a beautiful view over the hills next to Guadalest.
