Much better than the usual hotel restaurant offerings, the new autumn menu was interesting, varied and absolutely deliciously served. Hereford beef is a must around these parts and was thoroughly enjoyed by the chaps! I loved the mushroom pasta starter, and our friends devoured the scallops with gusto! Good wine list, not silly prices. Great, friendly service.

Havenât been here for years (since a really disappointing meal in the past)First impression still fantastic, decor, Very spacious comfy seating, ambience etc very attentive staff. Very good menu choose for a sat lunch. Vegan and vegetarian.I had the vegan burger (beetroot based) it was ok quite a large portion for a lunch but it didnât really taste of anything just spice! with great sweet potato fryâs.But the food was incredibly salty - spent the rest of afternoon drinking Water! My other lunch companions were very happy with there meals. But this is not the cheapest of restaurants. It was Nice that they left alone here and not rushed to eat and go.

Yes the table was very good and the casual furniture is very comfortable. First of all the service is VERY SLOW - and they were not busy .A starter of smoked salmon would normally come with thin sliced brown bread - but not here. We asked for some and were eventually brought some rolls but NO butter ! One of our fish and chips was burnt to a crisp and had to be replaced. Sea bass had only one small fillet and a minimum of vegetables and was grossly overpriced. The belly pork had been overcooked and also came with barely a vegetable. A rump steak was not very good and no steak knife was supplied until asked for. Then came the ice cream - it was very good but it had little crystals of sugar which should have been disssolved. We had remebered that this restaurant was pretty ropey under the old owners - it's no better now, just more expensive without any justification.Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant. Regarding the comments about the starter, our menu does not state it comes with bread at all, although when asked, this was provided for you. We do not do slices of bread, we only provide another starter of 'home made bread rolls and olives' which can also be ordered. I am sorry to hear the haddock was not cooked to your liking, the staff working on the evening of your visit rectified this as soon as this was mentioned. Our menu and the meals we serve are all carefully chosen by our head chef, we work with local suppliers to be able to serve fresh and seasonal produce, this will reflect in the price due to the quality of ingredients we use. Our portion sizes are a staple regular size, although if some have a larger appetite we do offer side dishes, this allows the guest to enlarge their own meal to their desire. All our desserts are homemade and we are glad you enjoyed these.Regards to the 'old owners' ,the Hotel and Restaurant Owner has been the same owner for the past 17 years.Feedback is very important to us, we will pass your comments onto the team.Kind Regards, BenRestaurant Manager & Mulberry Team.

Visited Peppeâs from Caerphilly to meet up with daughter from Staffordshire, with all my family, for a birthday celebration. We were really impressed with this quaint family-run restaurant. It was tucked away in a small arcade and had a small downstairs area with the main restaurant upstairs. Not a large place but cosy. The menu was excellent, somewhat limited but sufficiently broad to satisfy six adults and four teenagers. There were two of our number who were veggy and they had good choice. The food quality was superb from a single chef. Everything freshly cooked and well presented. It was delicious! Service was excellent and our reception at the place was full of welcome. A lovely Italian (Sicilian) restaurant and a great experience! We are looking forward to going back sometime soon.

Another year and another birthday and another excuse to visit here which without doubt is my favourite restaurant on the island. This place never stands still and is always full of innovation and sets the bar very high for itself! As usual the food was stunning and such was the presentation I almost didnât want to move the food to eat it! On top of this the staff are great and professional without being stuffy which some up the whole establishment really. I would like to stay at the hotel to try the breakfast but unfortunately I only live down the road! ââï¸Thank you so much for visiting and an amazing review. It really is much appreciated by all of us.Chris, Barbara and all the staff

We tried this place partly as it looks so beautiful. Glad we did!My macaroni cheese with cauliflower was wonderfully warming and tasty. The tea was loose leaf and served with a biscotti. My companionâs croque monsieur was huge! The service was perfect, friendly and helpful. And itâs stunning in decor! The loos are clean, but upstairs so not so good if you have mobility issues. Iâll return :-)
