We were recommended to go here for a drink by our Airbnb hosts as they said that the pub part, âCarollâsâ had recently reopened. We had such a lovely evening, the atmosphere was great and there was even someone in there playing a guitar and singing. We discovered that they did food as âToastâ, previously situated around the corner, so we decided to nurse our hangovers with a breakfast...an excellent decision. The food was lovely, well presented and we didnât have to wait long. The staff were really friendly made us feel at home. We even found that the atmosphere, although different from the night before, was just as lovely and welcoming. We returned a couple of days later and had the burrito.....again, superb, fresh and filling! If, or when, we return to Thomastown weâll definitely be back for drinks in the evening and a cure in the morning ;-)Many thanks.

Day time cafe serving home made and locally sourced food, excellent coffee from an artisan roaster, organic salads grown in the area
A friend and I went for a lovely walk in Mount Juliet and then rambled in for some refreshments in the Blackberry Cafe. There was a lovely friendly atmosphere in this busy Cafe thanks to 'Julie' who looked after us promptly and gave us a really warm welcome. The home baking is delicious. Definitely recommend a visit.

So glad we came across this little treasure in the back blocks of Kilkenny! Best meal in our two weeks in Ireland and top service by the whole team! Recommended to try the Irish coffee, and definitely not disappointed! Dessert was amazing and main course too!Would definitely come back tomorrow but they are closed on Monday.

Alan and Katrin are saying Hello and Grüss Gott. This is a unique Irish Pub with Bavarian touch and friendly atmosphere. Our credo is to look after each person as a friend so they will always come back.We have 8 beers on draft and a big selection of spirit
Visited while traveling through the area with my mother. Very nice staff whom we chatted with and they were very helpful with directions in the area. The ham and cheese sandwiches were excellent as was the beer. The type of place I wish I had in my hometown. Thank you so much for your lovely message.

This is a lovely small hotel , bar and restaurant. Amazing food !
We visited after we left the Festival of Ideas in Borris House. The bar area was fully booked but we accommodated in the restaurant instead. We were able to order from the bar menu though. Excellent food - the fish and chips were particularly good. Lovely staff also

Stopped in for lunch with my family. There was a limited lunch menu. We all opted for soup. There were two options: lentil and vegetable or tomato and basil. We all had lentil and vegetable which tasted really nice and wholesome. It was served with brown bread which was lovely also. The setting was nice. I would return.

Good choice of about four main course specials for lunch, but they also had sandwiches, soup, panini etc.The food was very tasty and good quantities. Staff friendly and atmosphere was relaxed. It still felt like eating in a pub (because it was) but overall it was a great lunch after a long day walking.
