Went with my wife and mum and dad 11/08/19, umming and ahhing about this review.Firstly the restaurant was hot, but ultimately at the mercy of the elements as it's on the basement floor. The service was fantastic from some of the waitresses but poor from the head waiter (?), leant over family members and nearly spilt hot sauce over my my mum, had she not moved.Food was a bit bland, decent enough, sending it back wouldn't have changed anything as the way it was cooked was fine but a bit flavourless. Menu was extensive but considering I had the "signature dish", I was disappointed.Birthdays are a thing, there's a loud bell, singing, if you don't like that then don't go, if you're happy to join in then join in!For one of the top rated restaurants in Glossop I'm underwhelmed, there are better places to eat I'm afraid. Would I go again...? Only if other restaurants are fully booked, sorry Napoli :)

We are a relaxed and friendly restaurant providing freshly prepared food. Our menu is small and changes often, but dishes can be amended to suit customers on request. We offer a wide range of international cuisine, and can cater to special dietary require
We always try to support local restaurants but knew walking in this was a mistake. The decor is 1970s and looks like a set from The Likely Lads front room. It was empty all night but it was a Wednesday. The mid week menu is limited and the menus are poorly printed in cheap plastic folders like a greasy spoon. The staff were quiet but service was good. The food was reasonably presented but my salmon and shrimp was just grilled with no sauce, flavour, or anything other than steamed veg. Good if you were on a healthy meal hunt. But my wifeâs chicken with tomato was rubbery and the sauce tasted like it was from a jar, and not a good one at that.Shame the owners have lost the love and it comes across. We didnât bother with a dessert or coffee there was no ambience and we wanted to go. I doubt we would go there again which we wanted to to support the high street. What we are missing in Glossop are restaurants doing good food- we have enough doing cheap and not cheerful. This review is inaccurate and unnecessarily insulting. If you had a complaint then it should have been voiced when you were asked during the meal.# too many want-to-be food critics hiding behind social media
