On the beach , only sunbeds and umbrellas taking the view we went to Atlantis. An advise in the Michelin made us hope for a high quality The ricchi ( sea urchin) pasta was bitter. Fish was presented without any explanation. Tuna was overseasoned.Service was comparably cold / uninterestedWould not return.

We enjoyed a tasty lunch here, the view is quite something, perched just above the aqua waters of pretty Otranto. We had a range of drinks, salads and sandwiches. All were served quickly and all were very tasty. It is beautifully decorated in clean, crisp white, the view is the star here and the food matches it in quality. The service was friendly and attentive.

Although the old town of Otranto is stunningly beautiful, (and justifiably overrun with tourists!), the restaurants within the old walls are mostly unreliable. They trade off passers-by, who are often lured into places by waiters operating out on the street. No restaurant with any self-belief or pride would send its staff out onto the street to tout for business. Having stayed in Otranto for 5 days recently, my advice to discerning diners is to look outside the walls. Primo falls into this category. It is a long-established place run by people who really care about food. You will find a cold display of today's fresh fish. You will find daily menus that frequently change according to market. You will find sensibly priced local wines. The personnel are kind, friendly, and knowledgable. I had a lunch and two dinners here over 5 days, so good was it. Walk around the old town, marvel at the sights, then go outside to Primo - it is only 5 minutes' walk from the walls...Signore..le dico solo Grazie!!!....p.s.: oggi, questa recensione..ci voleva proprio!!... ;-)

With "aperitivo di pesce", all fresh and good, and some good wine, this restaurant gives us the chance to appreciate Otranto even more. Sandro's french manners make this place romantic and suggestive. This is the place where an "aperitivo" can be really enjoyable! ....when the sun goes down is better!! Vera

very welcoming English speaking personnel invited me to the expensive looking restaurant very near the sea, what turned to be quite middle range priced. White table cloths, tables that do not swing as soon as you touch them. They were forthcoming enough to cook a seafood risotto just for me alone, although menu said that min order is for two persons. It was delicious. Home wine was sweet, bit sparkly and also had that light crust, that makes you want to drink more of it. Overall very pleasant and enjoyable evening spend in Horus.

We loved the dinner here that our Palazzo hotel had recommended. We ordered 5 different starters, 5 main dishes and 5 desserts and the majority were tasty and beautifully presented. Staff are efficient and professional. Modern restaurant perfectly situated at the entrance to the old town. Classy place! AND LOVED THE WINES.... top!

Must admit we got there on the recommendation of a local friend and of our guide. On a rainy day in May after visiting the beautiful Otranto we headed to Al Tartufo. The design, the look of the restaurant was surprisingly beautiful. You wouldnt think that the place was in Otranto along the river Idro. It could have been in London, Rome, Paris or Madrid.Wonderfully elegant place. The couple of managers - Giuliano and Stefania - are involved in serving and presenting the dishes and the fresh fish and the fresh âtartuffiâ that are present in every dish. The fresh tartuffi are picked by Giulianoâs father on a daily basis. Personally I am not a fan of truffles. However their cream soup âvelutoâ if I am not wrong with tartufo was amazing. My main dish was pasta with sea urchin. There are not many places where you can have it. AAAmazing.Deserts were out of this world. We shared four or five for the 12 of us. We were not an easy group, but the owners and the staff were able to handle us.Young, available and always smiling...and the price/quality ratio is like nowhere else.If I could I would have lunch there every day.Guys, move to Otranto just to eat at this place!

We were looking for a restaurant in Puglia where we could get fresh grilled fish and delicious local food. We were recommended Ristorante Il Diavolicchio Goloso. The service staff gave us a great welcome and were attentive and quickly gave us a glass of delicious rosé Prosecco. The taster degustation starters were tasty but the food, in general, lacks interest and taste. Two of us had monkfish and it was soggy, not well seasoned and was covered in breadcrumbs accompanied by an anaemic vegetable. We also had monkfish in the tomato which was, in our opinion, more tasty. The cuttlefish was overpowered by the turnip tops. The desserts were hugely disappointing. The fruits of the forest pudding was too sugary and tasteless, it tasted shop bought, and the Tiramisu had no alcohol and was tiny. The bill came to â¬200 for four of us (with one bottle of wine) and Iâm afraid weâd had better meals, albeit simpler and plainer fare, for half the price here in Puglia.

We stumbled upon this place by accident really, and we were not disappointed! We went for a birthday lunch, and couldn't have been happier with our choice of restaurant. It was a beautiful setting sat outside in the quiet gardens, and the staff were exceptional throughout. Most importantly - the food was delicious, and the paired wines were absolutely perfect. Although on the upper end in terms of price, it was totally worth it! We even took home a bottle of local wine for £8 - total bargain.
