A lovely dining experience, made more enjoyable by the friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient staff.Nothing was too much trouble for them (helping a disabled lady or moving diners who changed their minds and wanted to eat indoors - all done with genuine service) -The food - we all have menu de marché at 16 euros - was beautifully presented, fresh and full of flavour throughout. Wine - a carafe of rose was only 8 euros and the water was free and refilled frequently, as was the bread. We will certainly make this one of our frequent dining places and would thoroughly recommend it.

A lovely warm greeting set the scene for a very enjoyable Sunday lunch. The overall experience was good and the food was excellent. I chose a starter with tomato, prawns, monkfish and salad followed by deliciously cooked Noix de Saint Jacques. I wasn't too sure though about the accompanying legumes provencale which felt a bit too heavy a contrast for such a delicate dish. My husband chose the chevre chaud starter and a dish from the specials board. He said it was delicious and I benefitted from the seafood that came in the creme sauce! Coffee was very good too. One helpful comment I hope would be to put the instructions regarding the toilet lighting system in English as well as French. Wasn't a problem for me but could be for some!! Very pleased we went and will definitely go again.

La Dolce vita is a little restaurant in Villeréal, an old village. Fresh products and home made, we love cooking and it's a very lovely place....
We enjoyed seeing our friends but the food and service were average at this family run eatery in the pretty village of Villeréal.The amuse Bouche were potato balls with sauce. Completely tasteless! The starter most of us chose was a fajita wrap with cheese and peppers. It was edible but not exciting. Think Pret A Manger lunch wraps and not fine dining! I then had white fish with risotto and a piece of asparagus. The risotto was like 1970âs British boarding school rice pudding. The fish was unremarkable and tasteless but edible. I was irritated that that we had to order desserts or cheese at the same time as ordering our starter and main course. One doesnât always know what one wants at that stage.Service was cold but efficient without a hint of humour or engagement.

After a nightmare journey during which we missed our connecting flight to France and consequently landing a day late in Bordeaux, we finally arrived at our first stop on a two-week long journey to the Dordogne region. We were grateful that our first stop was at Jean-Claude and Grete's wonderful chambre d'hote and restaurant. Set in beautiful, bucolic surroundings, l'Auberge de la Source Peyssou was a restorative, restful stop. Exhausted and having lost a suitcase, we were welcomed with open arms by Grete, who proved to be a caring hostess indeed. After a rest in our lovely rooms, we were ready for dinner under the arbor. What a delicious meal! Opening with an entrée of scallops in a terrine and seared with a mushroom sauce, our dinner a delight for the senses. The scallops were perfectly cooked, seared on the outside and tender and flavorful on the inside; the terrine was absolutely delicious. The plat was canard de confit with snow peas; the duck was perfectly cooked and the snow peas a nice accompaniment. From our room we could see Grete and Jean-Claude's garden from which they provide most of their ingredients, including the fruits for their delicious homemade jams which graced our breakfast table the next morning.Grete tried to help as much as she could with retrieving my wife's lost bag as she talked to the people at Air France a couple of times. Her indignation was obvious on her face; she was sorry she couldn't do more. Warm and generous, she is a wonderful hostess. Our travails were lessened by our stay and the delicious food from Jean-Claude and Grete's kitchen. If you're traveling to southwest France, enjoy a stay at l'Auberge de la Source Peyssou.

Enjoy the tastes and flavours of the Périgord, of our beautifully created and presented dishes in our intimate, gourmet restaurant. With a capacity of only 28 guests, the intimate atmosphere is guaranteed. Tasty gourmet dinners in a relaxed, informal atmo
The food and the service are nothing short of amazing. We had the best meal here that we have had in any restaurant in a long time. The menu choices are fairly small but there is virtually no way you can go wrong. If you are staying at this hotel be sure to have dinner here at least one night it will be memorable.BonjourWe really appreciate your very kind comments regarding your meal in Restaurant Eléonore.Thank youArjan, Marije, chef Gwenaël and team Hôtel Edward 1er

What a great location for a relaxing lunch, great host and really good food.Salad with Roquefort cheese was amazing, really good dressing. Spaghetti carbonara was one of the best I have tasted. The chef is excellent.Recommend booking as it is in demand for a good reason.

Visited this restaurant on a Sunday lunchtime with friends who live locally . We were not disappointed. All dishes were beautifully presented, hot and tasty and it was so nice not to have to choose from a menu but equally try different foods. The hosts were delightful and I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area
