We attended a supper for about one hundred people. The atmosphere was great and the service was polite and efficient The food was not expensive and we found it well cooked and presented tastefully.I would recommend this venue

We picked this restaurant on a whim as we were hungry for breakfast. It was filled with local people discussing the business of the day which is always interesting if they think you do not understand the language. The prices were very reasonable and the food plentiful. We all ordered Omolettes and they were almost too big to finish. They also had an incredible selection of wonderful breads with fresh apricot marmalade and hot chocolate.

Been at the Bockauwirt with family. Food is excellent and so is the service. It is a hidden gem somewhere in the outskirts of Freistadt. If you find yourself in that particular region of Austria - away from all the hustle and bustle - I assume you got there by car, so it's only 5 min from the town centre. If you don't have a car, walk - lose some calories as you will need it. Lots of meat aka typical Austrian cuisine

Went in the afternoon for a cold drink and quick snack. My drink came in a dirty glass and the snack wrapped in a serviette that stuck to the melted cheese, ensuring that some of the sandwich was inedible. The less said about the service, the better. A real shame, as the place came highly recommended.

Food we ate was really tastefull, among others thanks to fantastic herbs which owners grow in a glasshouse in front of their restaurant. Worth to go for good, regional food and very nice atmosphere!

We had the most delicious pizza here, and the couple that own it came by our table and visited with us. The restaurant is in a beautiful historic building with a gorgeous courtyard.
