German style restaurant with amazing meals,a lot of different beers to choose from and friendly and helpful staff. The view is spectacular and well worth a visit if in Clarens for a day or two.
We popped in for drinks before trekking through the various Clarens shops. The range of beers, the variety offered in terms of the German menu and the amazing delicacies offered in the front of the store make this a must visit. Moreover, the great views over the Clarens valley is a real bonus. Great atmosphere.

The timeless French countryside-style restaurant and wedding venue on the Vaal River near Parys just an hour from Johannesburg.
This is really a lovely experience - amazing setting, excellent service, and a great menu. The staff set up a table outside for us, and the beetroot ravioli is divine!

Creative global cuisine in a romantic, quirky Victorian mansion with a garden and cocktail bar.
Although the setting is lovely and staff were friendly, they had no chicken available. We ordered but was told 30 minutes later that they had sent someone to the shop to buy some chicken, and this "someone" is taking long to come back. The wine we ordered of the menu was also not available, and had to do with second choice.

My Wife and I Ordered a take away Vegetarian Pizza for a quick and light late dinner. Quick and friendly service. Pizza was ready in 20 minutes. Well prepared and we enjoyed the Pizza.

The decor is really awesome, and it's nicely situated. A bit noisy from traffic though. The prices are high, so we stuck to the weekday menu, and the chicken burger was delicious, with good presentation and an interesting combination of flavours.

Margaritas was opened in 1997 by George and Nicos Papadoulakis. The Papadoulakis Family has over 45 years of restaurant experience and believe in great quality food, wine, service and family. Welcome and thank you, God bless.
I have eaten at Margaritas last week with family. Amazing steak- many chefs have disappointed by overcooking my steak. Not at Margaritas. There is apparently a special offer every Tuesday. Where there's a 2-for-1 on certain steaks. Highly recommended and unbeatable value. Their other dishes are also great!

We often stay overnight in Bloemfontein and always make sure we eat at the New York Restaurant..The New York Restaurant was recommended by the owner of the bed and breakfast where we stay. This is an elegant dining experience. The service is excellent and the table appointments and decor are elegant. The menu is varied and the food is well prepared and presented. Well worth a visit.

Last time we were here it was actually quite a small restaurant, a little rustic so we were mighty surprised to discover the expanded version. Good luck to them and their success which they deserve but a different experience. The food was fine, service efficient and the place was buzzing.Nice to have the chef walk around for a chat at the end of service.Hi Nicolas,Thank you for your lovely review and your return visit. We expanded our restaurant in 2015 to include a very well stocked bar with a waiting area and an outdoor gazebo. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your dinner with us and meeting our lovely talented chef.We look forward to your next visit.Kind regards Shelley, Mark and The Clementines Team

A local had suggested a visit to Addo's and we were not disappointed. The restaurant itself is cozy and simple. The staff were wonderful and made us feel very welcome. I had the trout and my boyfriend had the lamb rack - both were generous portions and tasty. Addo himself came around to the tables to check in with the guests about the food and it had lead to a conversation of how he landed up in Clarens. I believe Addo's charm, storytelling, and food will have people frequenting his restaurant for a long time! Thank you Addo and team, we hope to see you soon.
