Popped in for lunch on a rainy Thursday. Great choice from normal menu and specials board. Friendly welcome with quick service. The club sandwich was substantial served with salad and fries. Our choices were delicious and other dishes going by looked good too. Prices very reasonable and value superb.

The Chef/owner is passionate about cooking and we strive to use as much local produce as possible on our menu which changes on a regular basis. The restaurant has a relaxed and unstuffy atmosphere as we want our guests to enjoy the whole experience. We ar

Went here for lunch. Picked from the specials menu, 2 courses for £8.95. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Not huge portions but definitely enough for lunch and represented good value for money.Only criticism or downside would be soft drinks a bit expensive. On the whole ya lovely reasonable meal in nice surroundings. ,very enjoyable indeed.

Grand little building with a warm atmosphere inside, very good selection of drinks behind the waiting-bar and upon the menue (both Scottish and not).Service was mediocre at best, especially if you take into account what you would expect from a place like this, had my foot trodden on, chair bumped numerous times, our dessert silverware came out a few minutes after all the desserts had arrived etc etcOlives that came out came un-dressed, even though they were advertised as marinated, the 'fresh homemade bread' that came with the (very delicious) soup was in-fact a super thin-almost slice of what looked and tasted like standard shop-bought sliced white. The Trout Risotto was amazing although on the very-cool side of warm. After a couple of bites I was very glad about the taste as it had lost all temperature, asparagus was undercooked but the fish was perfect.Overall lots of little things letting what should have been a very top-notch experience..
