Find out what European restaurants to try in Ennistymon. Ennistymon or Ennistimon (Irish: Inis Díomáin) is a country market town in County Clare, near the west coast of Ireland. A popular tourist spot, it has a typical Irish main street, with many traditional pubs. The River Inagh, with its small rapids known as the Cascades, runs through the town, behind the main street. A bridge across the river leads to nearby Lahinch, on the N67 national secondary road. The town is connected to Ennis by the N85, continuing the settlement's main street.

I stayed at Vaughan Lodge for two nights with a golf group. The highlight of the hotel is the restaurant. The locally sourced food is exquisite (albeit not cheap). The setting is simple and unobtrusive, and the service is friendly and unprepossessing. Little Fox is a great addition to Ennistymon. The brunch menu is short but more than sufficient with a selection of specials and a variety of desserts from traditional brownies to the more inventive banana and tahini muffins (available on the day we visited). The Persian lamb flatbread was excellent and the brownie was particularly moist and rich. The staff were really friendly, the service, very good. The place is tiny so expect to wait a few minutes for a seat.

Restaurant, Cafe with rooms over looking the famous cascades in Ennistymon. Family owned & operated, spacious dining room with stunning views, specializing in reasonably priced seafood.

Ate a lovely meal there recently with my wife. I had the sea bass with sandfire and potatoes and she the seafood platter. Both excellent. as was the vanilla ice cream after and a lovely bottlel of white sauvignon blanc wine. Reasonably priced and very friendly staff. There was also an excellent acoustic/Spanish guitar player playing there that evening. Would definitely recommend.

There's a limited menu, so the mussels & the bacon and cabbage special were gone when we arrived. The food was really good - we ordered lamb stew, beef and guinness, caesar salad, spaghetti bolognese, all mopped up & enjoyed. Nice, friendly & efficient staff. The prices are very reasonable especially in view of the good cooking... highly recommended.
