Went here with the family for my son's 21st birthday. Our reservation initially placed us next to a table with loud people with their chairs pushed back, leaving no room, so the servers suggested another table with more room. Drink orders were taken promptly, and delivered promptly, and food orders then taken at the same time. The wait for the food was a bit longer than expected, but the ambience was good. The restaurant is big enough for about 40 tables in 3 large rooms, plus (in summer) outdoor seating as well. In winter it was cozy, though there was a somewhat annoying DJ playing rather loud and intrusive music. When the food came, everyone at our table was more than satisfied with the quality. The steaks were tender and flavorful, including the tuna steak.During the meal, the service was friendly and attentive, and we had no hesitation leaving a generous tip.

Schnitzelbank did not disappoint! The best German meal that we had during our trip through the country. I'm a huge foodie so I'm always looking for the best restaurant or hole-in-the-wall spots. The restaurant served some of the best popular German dishes. Everything that we ordered was cooked perfectly and delicious. Already planning to go back just to eat here!

I first had a selection of starters and some other tasters from the buffet, which were all delicious. I found that plate (paid by weight) to be rather expensive, though.Afterwards, I had one of the weekâs main dishes, which was pasta with broccoli, mangold and celery/almond pesto. Unfortunately, I could neither smell celery nor almond in it. Also, the whole dish was a bit bland for my taste â it would definitely have benefited from some spices.Overall, Iâd recommend this place but see room for improvement.

We wanted somewhere 'ordinary' in the best sense, took a Number 5 tram from the centre and weren't the least disappointed. In fact, this was one of the nicest meals of our ten-day holiday. Succulent steak for me, tasty chicken noodles for my wife, with superb side-salads. German spirits to end with. All served by an enthusiastic and helpful waiter who seemed absolutely delighted to welcome two English visitors. We walked back to the centre along quiet streets.

Business function, event or just good dining? Visit our best rated Restaurant, Bar, Bistro, our cosy Lounge or the outstanding Roof-Terrace in the Centre of Heidelberg. The Qube Restaurant stands for imaginative, regional as well as international cuisine,
The Qube restaurant has pretentions to be a serious restaurant but, alas, fails to deliver. The décor is contemporary and pleasant and the food is perfectly decent, but the evening service staff is not only incompetent but downright rude. I can tolerate disorganized service if the servers are pleasant, but there is no excuse for inefficiency coupled with arrogance. I was staying at the Qube Hotel with colleagues and we saw that the restaurant was half empty so it seemed easiest to dine there instead of trying to find another place in the neighborhood. When it took forever to get menus, then to have our order taken, then simply to be served wine which was sitting on the bar behind us, we offered to leave if we were not welcome. One of the servers berated us for expecting to be served promptly when we did not have a reservation! Several nights later, at a dinner there for over 40 people (for a conference), another server told someone allergic to arugula that she could "just scrape it off" her starter. We complained and received an apology in that instance, but this is type of behavior is simply unprofessional and unacceptable. I'm sure there are better and certainly more enjoyable restaurants in Heidelberg - Das Bootshaus down the street, for example, has good, unpretentious food served with a smile. Save your money and your time!

Simply amazing experience. Friendly, 5 star service that was flattering and incredibly friendly. I not only felt welcome, but I felt important.Food was fantastic. Three course meal, with every course perfectly balanced to excite the palate, satiate your hunger but not overfill. If you're looking for a romantic date or anniversary meal then I can highly recommend the wondrous reception and cuisine that awaits here.

Housed in a 17th century building, the interior of Die Kartoffel is lovingly filled with all sorts of antiques and bric-a-brac. In summer, guests can enjoy their meal al fresco under a 14th century âGewölbeâ (arch) or in their Biergarten. The quirky atmosphere is not the only attraction though. Die Kartoffel is well-known in the region as a place where you can enjoy a piece of meat like you would during the Stone Ages... well, almost! The house specialty is an Argentinian Black Angus steak served on a sizzling slab of lava stone heated to 400 (!) degrees Celsius. You get to grill your steak at your table, exactly how you like it.The steak meal comes with 3 different sauces, along with a baked potato smothered with homemade sour cream and a side salad.Other meats, prawns and even vegan and vegetarian options are available.Overall an enjoyable dinner with delicious food, good local wines and great service.Note: There is a ventilation system in the dining area, but it doesn't entirely remove the grill smoke from the tables, so be prepared to smell like a piece of grilled meat at the end of your meal!

This small restaurant became famous when they sent the King and Queen of Sweden away because of a wedding party. But it is also a very fine restaurant. The service is friendly and the menu shows that the chef likes to experiment and try different things. I could not resist to try the Wildschwein-Currywurst ( wild boar sausage with curry-tomato sauce) with sweet potato french fries. Less fatty than the traditional pork version and very tasty. My company emjoyed their choices too ... Which ranged from classic rumpsteak to wild chamois stew with dimplings. Unfortunately we did not have time to try the desserts. Will be back for more.

For a Portuguese restaurant, the food was not overly authentic. Having lived in Portugal, I was disappointed with the cuisine. It was nonetheless good and the establishment has an excellent environment and decor. We ate out doors and had a pleasant view of the Neckar river.

Had dinner here while spending a long weekend with friends in Heidelberg and found that everything was excellent: the food (both the taste and its presentation), the wine, the acoustics, the village of Ladenburg itself. It's a restaurant that I would definitely recommend.
