Located just beside St Vallier train station, this small restaurant is quite charming. The restaurant has stocked quite a wide range of wines from the surrounding vineyards. The restaurant also sercie local french cuisine that is delicious. The menus are in set form for lunch and dinner. The deserts are listed on a black board in the restaurant and the waiter brings this board around to show diners. The place has limited seats and allows reservations. The restaurant is clean and well kept. It has also outside seatings.Recommended if you are near the vicinity.Happy eating

Le château de Bobigneux est un restaurant dans le parc régional du Pilat proposant une cuisine de terroir et de saison. Le restaurant dispose de 4 salles privatisables ainsi que d'une grande terrasse. Menus de 16 à 35 euros.
We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. The service was friendly and welcoming, the food was outstanding and the menu was varied and delicious. The actual grounds and setting are breathtaking. We stayed from 7.30pm to 10pm, and weren't hurried at all, but were given blankets when it got a little colder outside. Loved it, would go every day if I could! Also, open on a Sunday!

This is a really nice restaurant overlooking the lake with excellent food. The price is very reasonable and the staff attentive but not interfering. One of the best places I have been to in France.

On our way to Provence and fed up with the junk food served on motorways, we decided to try a restaurant on the famous N7. Very quickly after leaving the motorway we found this restaurant. Despite the fact that it was rather late for lunch (past 13:30) we tried our luck. The young lady welcomed us with a smile and showed us to our table. The restaurant was still full although most of the guest were at the end of their lunch. The lunch (with starter, main course and dessert) was good. It is not Michelin Star food but it is very good value for money. Conveniently situated not too far from the motroway it is a nice stopover to try. The fact that it is full speaks for itself and we will go back there whenever possible.

Travelling down to the south of France, do not hesitate to stop in Saras between Lyon and Valence (exit at Saint Vallier on motorway), The food is exquisite, presentation and originality. The reception is always excellent and friendly. The hotel is confortable and good value for short stay. One thing to remember : it opens from wednesday to sunday midday.....We stopped there with my wife a good ten years ago... it has not change a bit.

Together with 8 close friends unfortunately I visited this terrible establishment for dinner. The food was close to acceptable, but the non existing service and total lack of customer orientation resulted in a bad ending of an otherwise excellent day. The manager/owner was extremely rude when the payment system at the restaurant did not accept 6 differnt cards of which one issued by a local bank. He made it totally clear to us that it was our problem that our cards did not work and even threatend us with the police. We finallly settled our bill with cash from a cash machine using one of the cards which were not accepted...Bottom line - Stay away from this restaurant!

Despite my very limited grasp of the French language, along with the staff speaking very little English, we still managed to have a great time! The waitress was very nice to us, trying very hard to explain what each item on the menu was. Despite that, we weren't entirely sure what we we getting when we ordered! No complaints though, every thing we ate was superb, well matched with the wine they suggested.

First thoughts of this restaurant were not good, it looks a little bit touristy and cheap. However the quality of the food is good. Steak tartare is prepared at the table, the gambas (king prawns) are grilled and beautifully served, the steak is grilled perfectly and stays tender. In this town there are not many good restaurants, but this should be one of the best in town
