The atmosphere is lovely; light piano music, soft chatters and no TV! Service was great and a good variety of wine. The Brie and champagne soup was to die for! Definitely worth a visit!

Toulouse is a small yet welcoming French bistro that offers delicious classics and attentive service in a posh setting.
Friends suggested we eat dinner at Toulouse which I had never been too. Valet parking is plentiful and easy. The French bistro look and feel is evident, particularly if you eat on the porch outside. We chose the cooler climate controlled inside experience.I started with the Lobster Bisque, which was disappointing. It was clearly sitting in the kitchen waiting to be delivered to me, because the soup arrived with a thin layer of "skin" at the top, and it had lost some warmth. I should have sent it back.My main entree was Dover Sole Meunière, a very sizable portion expertly filleted at table side by the server. It was quite tasty, as were the vegetables accompanying. We split the chocolate mousse dessert which was rich, creamy and very tasty. All in all, I'll return because it's a good operation but will likely skip the soup next time.

Dallas Chef, Jean-Marie Cadot, brings new flavors to the metroplex with his North Dallas French restaurant. Cadot Restaurant offers wedding, private event and business catering in addition to their lunch and dinner service.
We had a very enjoyable dinner at Cadot. The food and service was wonderful. The waitstaff very attentive! I ordered the rabbit and it was divine with a rich brown gravy that perfectly complemented the pappardelle pasta. Our server offered several drink and dining suggestions that complemented our meal nicely.

We went to Gemma for a birthday dinner with friends. This was my second visit. I really liked it the first time but I thought their service was distant and detached. It was totally different this time -- for the better. First of all front of the house that night was outstanding. The young woman who greeted us was warm and friendly and helpful. All the bar area was occupied by diners, which I find disappointing when you have to wait. So on a cold rainy night we had to stand in the entry area, which is not very big, waiting for our table. She immediately recognized our dismay and brought us a drink menu and assisted us in securing a drink. She even apologized for not having bar seats available. She did a great job of turning the negative into an acceptable positive. She is a keeper! We had to wait about 15 minutes after our reservation time for a table. Again I wasn't excited at first at where we were seated, which was at the back of the restaurant near the staging area right outside the kitchen. That is usually a terrible place in a restaurant to sit. Thankfully the wait staff was considerate about the closeness of our table and our waiter, Bobby, was extraordinary. He seemed to anticipate our needs before we knew we needed something. He gave helpful insight into the menu when asked and gave reasons for recommending one dish over another. For example, I ordered the chicken, which is a rare order for me. (Too ordinary.) But it sounded very good and when I asked him about that or a fish dish, he said definitely the chicken. He was right. Not a single dish any of us ordered, was disappointing or even less than superb. We started with the fried castelvetrano olives & texas pecans. What a taste bomb they are! The olives are warm, salty and creamy. We also started with the duck proscuitto and roasted beet salad. The beet salad was one of the best I have tried, having bitter, salty, crunchy, and sweet notes. The pistachios make it. For entrees we had the salmon, the chicken porchetta and the pork chop. In my opinion the best of those three was the chicken. Even dessert was outstanding, especially the pear tart with a cornmeal crust and the raspberry and pepper sorbet. Tips: Great place for a special occasion. Just don't expect to have a drink at the bar. Request Bobby as your waiter. Hospitality: Great front of the house, great waiter in Bobby. They seem to have gotten that part right!

Very reasonably priced menu with a number of authentic German options. Our group tried several of the Sausages including Bratwurst, both the chicken and pork weinerschnitzel, and the chicken sandwich. We were all pleased with our selections. I really enjoyed the warm German potato salad. The adjoining meat market has a large selection of fresh meats to choose from as well as a large selection of condiments and sides.
