Reviews on European food in Crieff, Scotland, United Kingdom. Crieff (/kriːf/ ( listen); Scottish Gaelic: Craoibh, meaning "tree") is a market town in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It lies on the A85 road between Perth and Crianlarich, and the A822 between Greenloaning and Aberfeldy. The A822 joins the A823, which leads to Dunfermline. Crieff has become a hub for tourism, famous for its whisky and history of cattle droving. Attractions include the Caithness Glass Visitor Centre and Glenturret Distillery. The nearby Innerpeffray Library (founded about 1680), is Scotland's oldest lending library. St Mary's Chapel, adjacent to the library, dates from 1508. Both are open to the public: the library is run by a charitable trust, while the chapel is in the care of Historic Scotland.
Things to do in Crieff
23 assorted flavours of ice cream, Milkshakes, Sundaes, Waffles, Cookie dough, Cakes, Pick N Mix, hot drinks, Tango ice blast. All the things you need for the ultimate hit!!
Came here before dinner as my partner fancied some coffee. As it was a Sunday evening a lot of places were closed in Crieff. Not here. Surprised at how cheap it was for some coffee and a tango blast. £4.10 for both drinks. We also bought sweets too from here and by the time we left the seating area was full.

First time visit, menu had good selection. Staff were really nice, polite & welcoming, even when I asked to pick my own table, no drama & staff happy to accommodate. Staff appeared to be young in their years but all superb & appeared hard workers, no loud music & you could talk without issue. I can recommend the duck with rhubarb & the chocolate fudge cake, ice cream with salted caramel sauce. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely be going back. Most certainly deserves a higher list on trip advisor

One Of 2 Restaraunts At Knock Castle Hotel & Spa
Hubby and I were staying at Knock Castle for my birthday treat in May and we dined at the Rooftop restaurant on the first evening. Although the prices are on the high side the food was excellent and plentiful. The staff are well trained and extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Had a few lunches and dinners here during our stay at the Hydro. We were always well looked after by friendly staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and hotel facilities.Excellent homemade soups, wonderful mains, puddings to die for.Found a superb wine - 'Los Intocables' Black Malbec on the wine list - if you like rich reds it's a stunner.

The staff in the Meikle were friendly and helpful, never flustered and, even when the restaurant was full, were attentive. The views across the grounds were lovely. My wife and I really enjoyed all the food - so much to choose from and every course we had was delicious. It was obvious the chefs cared about the quality of ingredients and the hotel prides itself on sourcing locally - it showed. We usually retired to the bar and met Lory, a brilliant ambassador for both the hotel and whisky. Great place all round - we left very, very happy.

The food is wonderful and so are the staff. The first time (Friday night) they were fully booked so we came back mid week and the food was excellent and worth coming back for.

Situated on Crieff High Street, Lounge offers a warm welcome, comfortable and interesting decor, and something to tempt the tastebuds through the day, whether it's a coffee and cake in the morning, a light lunch, a mid-afternoon glass of wine with macaroo
We visited the Lounge as a big family group. Service was friendly and efficient. The menu is varied and interesting.I had Caprese salad for starter and a tasty smoked mackerel, olive and poached egg salad for main.Others had galettes, fish and chips, salmon fillet with quinoa and a fish board which looked amazing.Definitely would recommend.

Up from London for the Solheim Cup, we visited Yanns for dinner after being recommended it by a friend of my husband. Such a great ambience. When we arrived we went into the lounge for pre dinner drinks, the girls serving were friendly and welcoming. There was such a nice atmosphere generally in the place. My husband chose the T bone steak which was THEE best ever, cooked to perfection and sooo tasty, like meat used to be! I chose the sea bass which again was cooked to perfection and delicious, but this time wish I had gone for the steak too. We spoke to the owner, who is a lovely friendly lady who runs front of house to perfection but not in an intrusive way. Would definitely return if we were back in Crieff.Merci beaucoup for the review, it means a lot !
