You have the hotel listed but not the restaurant - excellent restaurant
After days of heavy tasteless meat, leaden dumplings, and oceans of cream-based sauces, it turns out that our own hotel has the best meal of the week. My roast duck was amazing! Little fat, cooked to perfection, served with a lovely wine sauce, fresh broccoli and delicious potato pancakes. My husbandâs beef stew was tasty. The service and atmosphere were excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Be sure to request a reservation that can be done through their website, as the cozy, historic restaurant has limited seating and it was full when we arrived at 6:00 PM on a Thursday. The wait staff was very friendly and seated us in the front room to the left (as you enter.) The menu has lots of choices for drinks, and I decided to try a glass, then two, of the ânew wine.â Our server suggested that we try an onion tart which went well with the slightly fruity wine. He explained the specials and my husband ordered one of those â chanterelles with brown gravy, dumplings and salad plus he requested that pork be added to the dish. I ordered the steak and vegetable skewers that also included salad, slaw, zucchini and warm gravy for the (medium well) meat that was served at the table. My entree was delicious and offered enough food for two people!

We had (1) pork cheeks in red wine sauce and (2) white asparagus [Spargel] w/ assorted hams. All very tasty and served in generous portions. The pork cheeks [or Schweinsbaeckchen] (as you may expect) were VERY tender and juicy, served in a delectable red wine sauce.Service impeccable, although the restaurant was well booked.Very pleasant atmosphere under the green grape vine foliage.Worthwhile dining spot, if you are fond of exploring the local Franconian wine country cuisine and its restaurants.Fair prices: we paid EUR 40 for 2 generous main meals, incl 0.5l local Riesling.Enjoy!

Very nice staff with a fantastic romantic location in Rothenburg. Nice for lunch and dinner. Very good food. We have been there 5 times the last 3 years, and surely we will be back

The little place serves great Italian food, at good prices, with kind, efficient service from the owners. The menu is small but everything we ordered was delicious. I particularly liked the swordfish pasta, wonderfully fresh and tasting of the sea. The pizzas also hit the mark. The panna cotta was among the best Iâve tasted. I loved the family vibe and the obvious care taken over every dish. Seriously good eating. Do book though. All the tables were reserved when we went.

Truly a marvelous dining experience. We dinned in a beautiful garden. Tables are in small groups separated by shrubs. It was peaceful and quiet. The menu, as has been mentioned in another review, is limited, but excellent. We had the 3-course dinner with a seaweed salad, cream asparagus soup and beef fillet, plus a green salad and dove supreme. The beef fillet was very good, but the dove was scrumptious. The seaweed salad was tasty and the soup was delicious. The service was also top drawer, attentive, but unobtrusive. I can't help but notice that all the staff are female - quite unusual in both Germany and Austria. Definitely try this place if you are looking for a culinary experience.

We went for a spontaneous lunch there with my parents on their (62nd) wedding anniversary. The food served was very fresh, really delicous and great value for money. We asked for a fruity wine and the sommelier recommended a 1990 Saar Auslese. The wine was in top condition, amber colour, great complexity and perfect finish. Given the very reasonable price and the option to have it served by the glass (it might have helped) that I hinted about the wedding anniversary) it was a real treat and we were very impressed. It was one of the best wine tasted in a logn time. We intend to return soon !

The food here was fabulous local and seasonal food. I had a Schnitzel with Spargel and Chips, underbar ! The beer was good Bavarian beer enjoyed in a sunny and warm garden. The lady who served was pleasant and very helpful, thoroughly enjoyable

As most people do, we stayed here to explore Rothenburg (about a 10-15 minute drive away). We were really impressed with the hotel, although a little disappointed we were in an annex a couple of minutes walk away we soon cheered up as it was really nice. We had the upper floor, full of character - a nice bed, modern bathroom and lots of home comforts including extra pillows, blankets etc. In the annex there is also a kitchen area to use. We opted for breakfast and are so glad we did... one of the best in all of Germany, full of local produce and all in a stunning converted barn. I also bought some locally made honey which was beautiful. The staff were all lovely, I'd definitely stay here again Please note that you'll need your own transport as there is not a lot within walking distance (apart from the amazing countryside!)

An overnight stay at the Youth Hostel in Creglingen we drove down to the town centre. There are few restaurants and we saw the Gasthaus and parked up.Superb pfifferling with spatzle. It was pfifferling week. Pfifferling was actually chantarelle mushrooms! Locally sourced in the woods and served up with a mushroom sauce.
