There were seven for a Sunday birthday lunch. We had previously met the chef/owner to arrange the menu and not only was he very flexible but was able to suggest ideas using local seasonal produce and explaining in detail the provenance of the ingredients. Although slightly old fashioned the restaurant is beautifully laid out, both warm and comfortable with most pleasant and attentive staff. Following a bottle of local blanquette with a lovely selection of little savoury tarts we had charcuterie and plates of delightful little salads. Two of our party had locally caught trout and the rest of us had the chefs speciality of cassoulet . They were both beautifully cooked. A cheeseboard followed and finally they presented a birthday gateau containing all our favourite ingredients.Unfortunately they do not market themselves sufficiently promoting what is a lovely graceful building with an interesting history and the talents of a superb french chef.

Three of us (including one vegetarian)had an excellent lunch. We went for the crepes and were very glad we did. Both savoury and sweet were fine, as was the apple crumble! Also prompt, friendly and helpful service despite our rudimentary French. Very reasonably priced - under 50 euros for two courses and drinks for 3.

What a place! Taken here by friends on a recent visit. The food was outstanding and the service was attentive and very friendly. We had the set menu which included 5 courses and a 'colonel' - watch out for him if you're driving!! Wonderful charcuterie buffet to start, then foie gras 3 ways (including a 'creme brulee' version!), the main meal, a cheese course with a lovely sweet 'jam' witha delicious dessert to finish.thank you for your opinion and with the pleasure of re-examining you greetings La Ferme de Janou

The outside area is quite small, but bag yourself a table at the edge for some stunning views. The service was quick and friendly. The food was great, in fact the best mussels i've had in many years. They were served in a gorgonzola sauce and where just amazing. My wife and son had the same. The mark of a good meal is the silence to which it is eaten, and the only sounds we made were that of contentment. At únder 60e including desert and drinks, have to say excellent value for money as well.

With family and friends we visited rennes-le-château and looked at the castle, unfortunately it started to rain so we went for lunch. I recommend this restaurant if youâre ever visit rennes-le-château.

Stopped here for lunch after reading reviews. Spotlessly clean and friendly service. We both had small salads followed by crêpe. The salads, although only 4/5 euros were a good size, very fresh and with lots of tasty dressing. Thin light crêpes with local honey. Everything was totally delicious. The bill with a bottle of Normandy cidre was 30 Euros. Wish we were staying nearer to eat here again. Highly recommended.

We visited the restaurant L'Antre Temps and found a beautiful covered terrace with a fantastic seasonal menu, with a great vegetarian choice. Everything was hand made, including the chips, veggie flan and beautiful salad. The staff were attentive and made us feel very welcome. Great value for money and a nice way to spend a lazy lunch.

Large room, medieval decoration, divided in two dining rooms by a central chimney; the tables are well dressed with white table clothes; the service is friendly, attentive and professional. The cuisine of Paul Guilhem is prepared with passion and accuracy
Smart restaurant set in a stunning courtyard in the heart of the Chateau des Ducs de Joyeuse, with a lovely fresh menu and delicious local wines to choose from, including several Blanquettes from the celebrated neighbouring town of Limoux. Stand out dishes were the poached egg with pea and pesto puree and the grilled plaice. Chic, a little bit pricey and very French!Dear K C,Thank you for your enthousiastic message. We are pleased you enjoyed your meal at our Restaurant. We look forward to welcoming you again and remain,Yours sincerely.Isabelle & Vincent Nourrisson
