Reviews on European food in Costa Brava, Province of Girona, Spain. Whether you're looking for sandy beaches, rocky coves, tranquil villages or mountain scenery, Spain's Costa Brava has something to offer you. Situated in the north-east of the country overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, the Costa Brava region enjoys hot summers and mild winters, making it an all-year-round holiday destination. There are plenty of opportunities in the Costa Brava to play golf, tennis or football, as well as to take part in water sports. The Sant Daniel Valley on the western side of the Gavarres hills has mountain biking and trekking paths with stunning views. If you are looking for a cultural activity, the Archaeological Museum in Banyoles is housed in a Gothic palace and has displays of paleontology and pottery as well as archaeology. Modern art lovers must not miss the Theatre Museum in Figueres which has a collection of Salvador Dali's paintings. At the end of the day, if you still have some energy, there is no shortage of nightlife in towns such as Lloret de Mar.

We (2 adults and 2 kids) went yesterday to this restaurant. Expectations was rather high based on recomendations. We ordered Paella, Grilled Octupus and I took the charcoal grilled Entrecote.Just seeing how the food was presented on the plates told us about their ambitions. The taste was great and well accomplished with recommended vines. We was delighted and will return during our stay. Comparing to the restaurants around this was 10-15 euros more expensive for our family but worth it. The interior is also nice and classy. The only thing that could improve is maybe to have some more choices towards the younger audience. We took a starter for our 9 year old as none of the main courses suited her.

Welcome to Cala Nena , a new concept of cold kitchen with top quality fisch cans, seasoned with sauces home made, great "embutido" with our super tipical bread with tomatoe and daily specials depending on market and season !! Do not miss it!
Very nice located in charming little town, full of restaurants. The chef receives the guests and we recommend to follow his suggestions for the âcompartirâ menu. Nice smaller and bigger portions to share. Ours were all very tasteful. A little bit more expensive but certainly worthwhile.

Closed for holidays from the 13th of October till the 18 of October.
Visited today for a bite, really easy going very helpful waiter.Six dishes, 1 beer and water later we were stuffed and extremely pleased we had chosen this restaurant. âThe address for this restaurant is incorrect as it is on the front near to the port. We had tried to find the day before but only found it late on, well worth a visit.

Very small restaurant only 5-6 tables. Most of time occupied. Run by a âMamaâ, who cares all for you. Unfortunately we only had a lunch since can not reserve again. All food was delicious including their hospitality before the meal. Mama was very sympathetic and kind. Strongly recommended.

We had a lovely meal here in the evening and tried several tapas dishes, all of which were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The swordfish and the ceviche were exquisite. Lovely romantic location and very friendly staff. Would love to return.

We had lunch at the 1 MICHELIN Star Massana a week ago, and we really enjoyed it very much. We were assigned a very nice round table for six by the window in a semi private area. Service was impecable and food delicious. We had the appetizers, all beautifully presented and mouth watering. Then foie gras and reserve ibérico ham to share, delicious! Main courses included steak tartare, lamb, duck magret, and canelones with white truffle... all of the highest quality! Artesanal beer and a delicious red wine were also very good.I would gladly be back at Massana for dinner to enjoy it more!

This has to be one of the the most satisfying restaurants I have been to. The food is out of this world. The team are fantastic. Limited choice but thatâs a great thing as you know there isnât a freezer in the back. Xavier the chef has to be the nicest and humblest guys you could meet. Need to book well in advance.
