Excellent food and top quality service in a lovely location. The gambas al pil pil was the best weâve had anywhere, followed by fresh sole and washed down with a delightful white rioja and a complimentary caramel cream liqueur. Rafa could not have been more helpful and his excellent English makes the whole process a joy. Highly recommended.

Stopped here for late lunch, 4pm. Party of four people, we decided to go with the Tapas. We had a squid salad (lovely), some chicken drums, 2 other dishes which were all 2⬠each, then a dish of Potatas Bravas at 3â¬, long with some wine. Nice to sit outside under some shade on a busy day in the main square. Good service. Will return!

Another one of our regular places when we visit Competa, we ate here twice on our latest trip. A nice touch are the complementary aperitifs and the 'deadly' limoncello shots before you leave. Salads are great here and large enough to have as a main course. Located in the beautiful main town square. Gracias por su visita

Great location in Square next to the church. The service was very friendly and efficient We had breakfast of scrambled eggs and bacon, smoked salmon baguette and crepes which were just ok but nothing special. Coffee was very good.Prices reasonable for the location.

We initially popped in for a drink, returned for tapas and finally for the Menu Del Dia. All 3 occasions we received quick, friendly service. An extensive selection of tapas - the Menu Del Dia was delicious- seafood pasta salad - hake in prawn and butter sauce followed by ice cream a glass of wine all for â¬8 - a covered terrace with fans - they also show sporting events (without sound)

We are located in an old carpenters workshop, built into the rocks over 200 years ago. We prepare all food freshly and to order so if you are in for fast food, El Pilon will not suit your needs. We source as much of our food locally when possible. El Pilo
I was recommended this restaurant by the Balcon hotel where I was staying on my visit to Competa in July. If you want a view I suggest booking a table . On my arrival I was greeted by Danny behind the bar who treated me like a long lost friend . I had a glass of wine at the intimate small bar which greats you on arrival leading through to the restaurant. The food was excellent and service just as good. The whole evening was a pleasant experience. I will return .

Ate here recently on holiday the weather wasn't too great but the in and out side eating areas were great. The menu was very good choice and I was advised to try the steak rossini. Very good. The service is very good and friendly and the atmosphere nice.

I had read the reviews - but honestly, some people are easily pleased. Sat in a plastic garden chair, food very disappointing. It may be great if you are eating a steak, if not, them you should consider going elsewhere. Interesting salads, but mains were tasteless, and chicken was not properly cooked. Apparently there is a nice view. If the view is what attracts you to a restaurant, I suggest you go for a walk, then find somewhere that can actually cook decent food.
