Deli is chock full of sausages, cheeses, breads, and desserts from the Old Country. Restaurant plays on this variety every day, with too many great options to choose from! Dedicated parking lot a real plus, too. Dine in and take lots of goodies home! (My favorite sausage so far is the Moroccan lamb.)

I have had an opportunity to dine in German theme restaurants across the US, in Canada and of course in Germany as well. The Gasthof zur Gemutlichkeit offers the most "authentic" German menu choices - with consistency that I have experienced.Four of us shared two of their "platters for two". We also had the Cold Platter that included pickled herring. EVERYTHING was authentic. The Spaetzlen, kartofel and all meats were so authentic. Bratwurst were seasoned perfectly. Reminded me of Nuremburg Brats. If you are in Minnesota (anywhere) and you don't think you will ever dine in Germany... dine here instead! Your palette would not know the difference.Joey Johnson was performing on accordion and we had a great time with him. It was a Tuesday night mind you) so authenticity goes beyond the food. Also offer a huge German Beer offering - on tap! Rebecca R. was our server and running the floor with multiple tables alone. Clearly their best server. We took photos of all three platters - and Joey! I am back in the region for a wedding in July and hope to return the night before or after the wedding!You won't go wrong here folks!

We arrived for lunch and the host was not friendly at all. Walked up to the podium/desk and just looked at us....then one of us said how many will be in our party awkwardly. Once seated took several minutes for the server to come despite the empty restaurant. Once we got going with our order we didn't see the server again for refills or anything until our food was ready to come out. After we got our food the server came around a little more to see how everything was. The food was just okay, nothing special about it. Wish I could say something better about this place because it is a great location and was excited to try it out, however, was essentially let down.Dear 4marleed,Thank you for your honest feedback.
