BISTROT GOURMAND open from breakfast to the aperitif and offers salads , bruschettas , pancakes, "quiches", and our homemade pastries and desserts! ! Come to make a BRUNCH all the WE from 10h to 14h ( booking advisable ) . See you soon!
Encouraged by the tripadvisor comments I decided to give it a try and I really enjoyed this place. First tried the breakfast which was OK, although not overwhelmingly amazing.. The dinner however was much better and I like it a lot. Plus the people working here are really lovely and helpful.

My husband and I had dinner at this place last night. The food was OK, nothing special at all!I had Sauerkraut (sausage and cabbage dish) and my husband had Flambee both very average! With a half bottle of wine, our bill was around 50 euros. We had a 200 euro note that we wanted to pay with it. The waiter came after 10 minutes to get the money and said he wants us to pay with card. We refused as we had cash (legal note of their country) and our credit card provider is charging us a lot! He had a very nasty attitude when he took the money! Then he came back with some notes and a pile (huge pile) of coins (around 30 euros) and slammed it on our table and said thats what you get!!!! This restaurant is not a cheap place and not a quiet place as well. When the bill for two people is 50 euros, I bet they have enough cash to give us in notes and not a mountain of coins. But he just wanted to be rude and nasty to us!!!! This is very disappointing and the worst service I have ever seen in any place. Colmar is lovely in general and I hope we will have better experiences for the rest of our visit!

The ambience was nice, atmospheric rustic environment with a touch of modern. The food is simply amazing ...We tried for first course the langoustines with artichokes and for main course we tried the scallops and the beef with potato truffle puree ... Everything was perfect but we got tired waiting!!The meal lasted almost 2,5 hrs!!!

We found this restaurant through a referral of a local wine tasting shop. Several other people that I spoke to also had positive comments. We made a reservation for dinner at 630 and the first seating, by 715 the place was full. This was a Wednesday night. It isnât a large restaurant so I highly suggest a reservation in advance. The server spoke English although a little limited. He did however very clearly know his menu and how to explain it so choices could be made.I had the scallops, which I found to be extremely flavorful. I had some of the local muscat white wine - yummy - for a starter, and a Reisling with the main course. The server was extremely good and efficient. All the courses were delicious. I was extremely happy we chose this restaurant and would be very happy to return againSafe travelsBobbyWz

The Cordon Bleu there is just amazing. I had one with mushroom sauce (which was heavenly) and my wife a plain one; both were very good. The sides (which are included in the price) are quite good, too. I especially enjoyed the Spaetzle. The staff is very nice and helpful. The restaurant is quite small so if you want to be sure to get a table, you should make a reservation.

We have been to this restaurant several times over the years for lunch when travelling in France. This time we had the opportunity to have dinner there something I always wanted. We choose the menu and loved it from starter to dessert. Every single dish was wonderful, I get hungry again when thinking of it. Service was very friendly and attentive. I just hope that we can do it again very soon. Because dogs are no longer allowed in the Restaurant we cannot come as often as we would like. Nevertheless, one again a great experience.

Hot on the heels of dining at Au Crocodile in Strasbourg, we booked a table at JY's in Colmar, a 2 star Michelin restaurant. Our two experiences couldn't have been more different. Our meal at JY'S was very disappointing in every way, the service was offhand and at times, rude and dismissive. The food was underwhelming, it was confused and struggled unsuccessfully to introduce Asian flavours to classic French dishes. You don't produce a satay sauce by simply adding coconut milk to a brown sauce, made properly, it is a complex and subtle accompaniment to food. In terms of being a starred restaurant, this one just doesn't come close, there is nothing special about it except for the inflated prices. I did contact the chef to express my disappointment, but didn't receive a response and having regard to the chef's responses to other reviews, his arrogance comes across loud and clear. Skip it, it is a poor reflection of Michelin starred restaurants and of the standard of other places in Colmar. To one who is very brave and who hides behind a screen.Of one I could not answer you because you already wrote on Google (impossible to answer) and on the other hand it is difficult for me not to answer to ignorant people and who are taken for gastronomic critics whereas they themselves are not even able to cook an egg.The proof of your ignorance the basis of the satay sauce is not the coconut milk but the peanuts !!!What right do I have the right to insult myself and my employees? We are in a democracy and everyone has the right to answer, it is not arrogance but simply common senseWith my best regards.Jean-Yves Schillinger

The place is a combined gourmet shop and lunch place. We stopped when they just opened to buy some ham we booked lunch at the same time. The restaurant is on 1. Floor. The lunch was great, especially the cheeses. A very good place to have lunch.

This is small, cosy restaurant with a very interesting menu and friendly, efficient service. One of the best in Colmar, among lots of more touristy places. You come for lunch or for dinner and they receive you like a long lost friend. Everything on the menu is delicious, real "homecooking".Since it is small, it is best to reserve beforehand.

Can not fault this exceptional experience. Food service ambience all 10/10. The chef helped serve our meal and was an unassuming man who made a great effort to speak to us in English. The waitress and the sommelier added to our experience. Definitely a one off for us. The memory will stay with us for a long time. Thank you.
