My wife and I were in Civitavecchia for a day on a cruise ship and wondered past this cafe whilst along the waterfront boulevard. It had lovely vistas over the beach and water. Let me say this is one of the worst cafés we have experienced anywhere in the world in relation to service. We asked for a table and were told to sit anywhere. We chose a nice table on the boardwalk. All we wanted was a beer and it took about 20 minutes for a waitress to come up and take our order. When she heard all we wanted was an alcoholic beverage, she asked us to move to another table that had no table cloth or condiments and was covered in dry sticky stuff. It took another 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. It wasn't that busy and there were three waitresses working. We decided we wanted to have a meal and tried to get the waitress' attention and did on one occasion, but she never bothered to come over. We then left.Would not recommend this cafe. Rude lazy staff.

In civitavecchia for two nights before a cruise. Furst up on our arrival we went to the garden section of the venue for a few drinks The hosts were most welcoming and helpful. We decided to return for dinner. The shrimp, squid, fish meal was very good and the pork fetta basil was excellent as were the mussels. Not expensive and good size servesSo we went back the second evening. Too good to try elsewhere.

Enjoyed dinner here recently on a Saturday night prior to a cruise the following day.It opened for service after 7.30pm and was heaving by 8pm, mainly it seemed with locals. The owner managed to find us a table for two and we enjoyed friendly service, great food and wine at a fantastic price. The bruschetta as a starter was just delicious and followed by two plates of gnocchi one with fish the other beef. Fantastic. All washed down with the house red wine. We had desserts just can't remember what they were !Great atmosphere and value for money at 45 euros for two !. The restaurant is located opposite the Hotel Traghetto where we stayed

A delightful place to spend a couple of hours enjoying great food and excellent wine. My personal favorite here is the lasagna. While they don't have a big selection of entrees, they do have a wide selection of appetizers.... anything from "spaghetti pizza" to eggplant parmigian to bruschetta and many others. For the wine lover, they have an extensive variety of excellent wines to choose from.Very moderately priced and the owner is so personable and friendly with wonderful service. Located on a quiet side street. May just be the best place in Civitavecchia! Highly recommended!

Ristorante Il Delfino, local situated on the seafront in Civitavecchia. Great prices, traditional dishes and also special. Meat and fish.
We were walking around Civitavecchia looking for somewhere to eat dinner. We decided on a "white table" restaurant and walked into Il Dielfino by chance. We were greeted in a very friendly manner and seated in a quiet part of the restaurant. We discussed the menu choices, which turned out to be wonderful. Our friends had the dorado which was taken off the bone by our wonderful waiter. My wife and I had the zucchini and potato crusted fish was one of the best we have ever had.We were given the local dessert to try. It's similar to an Italian trifle with a local liqueur. We enjoyed it immensely... and then they gave is cookies to enjoy with our coffee.Despite all of this it was very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back when we return to Civitavecchia later in the year.

The elegant, slightly retro ambiance of the terraces overlooking the sea covered with Victorian style cast iron gazebos house, welcomes the guests to taste delicate dishes inspired by the Italian and the Mediterranean traditions. Our Restaurant has a gelu
Only a very small choice of dishes on the menu during my visit, (or maybe because I don't like cheese the choice is limited). however the waitress who spoke good English recommended a fish and pasta dish which was lovely, as was the house wine. can't fault the service.

Just had wonderful quick dinner at this place we found with Trip Advisor. We wanted a break from the usual Italian restaurants. Took a burger and the other huge sandwich which its photos are shown here already. Everything was just great. Meat was very well made, and the bread is soft and crispy at the same time. Excellent place to stop by. Trust me.

Granted, I have not been to every restaurant in this city - at least not yet, but I can say that so far, this was the best place I've eaten. The service is outstanding, very polite, formal and cordial. I was impressed with the atmosphere, the decor and the music in the background. The food was absolutely outstanding and I honestly cannot wait to hear again. I would recommend this place to tourists and locals alike. The ambiance is chic but not too fancy for the average person. With linen napkins and table cloths, champagne flutes and wine glasses already waiting for you when you enter the dining room, it's tastefully decorated and has a warm and cozy vibe when you walk in. My date and I were both really impressed with not only the environment but also the service and food. Definitely excellent!
