I introduced a couple of my family members to the delights of 'Oh Crumbs' home cooking. We had a lovely lunch and they were very impressed. Such good value for money too.

Homemade, real Italian cuisine by an Italian chef/owner. Modern decor, comfortable and atmospheric. Family friendly, good value and table service. Serving pizzas, pastas, chicken, seafood, daily specials and many more. Booking advisable but not always nec
Could have been a lovely summerâs evening visiting a typical Italian restaurant.....this was not the case here.....food overpriced and inexperienced staff although they did try their best. We ordered a kir cocktail....too strong as far too much Kir....asked to do again. Main meal of pollo Milanese.....chicken well cooked but pasta and tomato sauce very bland with no flavour and a few lettuce leaves....which you would hardly call salad accompaniment to a main meal cost just under £16. They are plenty of other well priced good restaurants in Lyme Regis serving local produce.....this restaurant did not mention any local suppliers. Would definitely not visit again, as thought it was poor value for money, which is a shame as the last time we had a much better meal. As regards the staff, we were served by a very inexperienced waitress who tried her best, but believe management were not helpful in assisting her, leaving her to pour cocktails, when she had no idea. If this restaurant wants to stay open, they need to up their game, as you just canât rely on just the summer tourist trade to survive.

Having popped into Lyme on an unseasonly but typically Lyme sunny Autumn Sunday morning, we were debating where to try for lunch. Not easy on a busy day like that, but they fitted the three of us into the restaurant area. It is many years since we were last at the Millside, but the cosy inside area and friendly staff meant we quickly settled. On the face of it, a traditional Sunday lunch menu, but on reading more one finds the veg are sourced where possible from a local organic farm, the meat is supplied by a free range specialist butcher, and the fish is local Lyme Bay catch of the day. We are not fans of carvery type food so Iâm pleased to report this is definitely far removed from mass Sunday catering.Everything was beautifully cooked, and we had a large bowl of different veg to accompany the ample serving of deliciously crispy roast potatoes. With a varied wine list, a selection of local gins, plus premium soft drinks at reasonable prices, we left satiated and without too big a hole in my wallet. This is not a pretentious restaurant. It appears to be staying honest to traditional fayre cooked well with quality ingredients. A recipe for happy diners Iâd suggest and weâll quite likely return when next in the area (but booking in advance!).

Parking in the area is a challenge, there is a small pay and display not too far away but very limited spaces. We were shown to a booth which seemed ice at the start but it just meant that the servers couldnât get to the two at the far end and we had to pass food down and dirty plates back up to the waitress. It would have been OK as a table for four, but not six.   Service was very slow, one waitress who made eye contact then ignored our attempts to attract attention. We had the Haddock chowder, potted Salmon, Lamb Kofta all very good, and two Pea soups, not so good. All served with some indifferent bread. Mains were a gristly tasteless rib eye steak with underdone soft chips, a good Venison tagliatelle and two fish and chips. The fish was in very thick greasy batter and we had to send them back as it still had the skin on. The replacements eventually arrived in the same sort of batter, but the fish was watery and tasteless and it meant to of us were then out of sync with the rest of the group[p. One portion was mostly eaten, except the batter, and the other not really touched.  No mention or comment made by the waitress when the plates were eventually collected. A small nod of an apology would have gone a long way.   Desserts were the Cheese and biscuits, some very good Cheddar. a Banoffee cheese cake and three indifferent raspberry and Lime Possets. There seemed to be a lot of flies around which was annoying. No mention of the Fish and Chips when we came to pay.At £175 for five of us not good value at allThank you for taking the time to give your recent feedback. We are sorry that you felt your meal wasn't up to standard. We understand your points regarding the booth and we would have been more than happy to move you where possible to an alternative table, if we had known you were unhappy. It is also one of our most requested tables but we appreciate it is not to everyone's taste. As you mention we did change your fish upon request as you prefer no skin on your fish - we are sorry that you still didn't enjoy the same. We are sorry to read that you felt that £35 per person for a 3 course meal and drinks was not good value but we will of course discuss your comments with our team to ensure improvement is made.

Our cute little station house & WW1 train carriage situated in the heart of West Bay serves only the best local and fresh produce, all created by our talented Executive head chef Claire. We pride ourselves on our customer service along with well presented
Had a Sunday Roast last weekend in the unusual and uniquely decorated railway carriage, between the 4 of us we selected beef and chicken roasts, plus a venison sausage and mash. All were beautifully cooked and were so tasty. Somehow, found room for desserts which were also excellent. The service is special, Ross makes you feel so welcome, attentive, not pushy but friendly and courteous. Will always make a visit when in the area.Till next time !Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it :)Best wishesRoss

We have eaten here twice and enjoyed both visits. Sweet little restaurant decorated cosily in the evening, friendly staff and delicious food. Great gin menu too! Food was top notch, presented beautifully and great value for money. We had our birthday meal here after visiting earlier in the month. You can tell who ever is in the kitchen really cares about the dishes they present. We will be going back!
