Maybe not vegetarians, though. I was just a touch disappointed with the quality on offer, but the setting and the service are very good. simple food, roast chicken, duc, pintade, and also other standards of French cuisine.The chickens are not "fermier", or at least that's what I felt, they are however roasted on a spit in front of a wood fire. Very decent wine list, and better than average wine list.A sure bet.

Three and a half years ago my wife and I had the great fortune of, completely by chance, discovering a newly opened restaurant on the edge of the old town of Versailles. We knew from the off we'd found something quite special and over the last three years its been a delight to watch a story develop of one of France's great culinary talents not just find his feet, but thrieve, gaining a michelin star in his first year and opening a sister bistro a year after that. Since our fitst visit we have since dined at either Table du 11, or the sister Bistro du 11 maybe a dozen times and on every occasion, we never fail to be impressed. Having been fortunate enough to have dined at 40+ Michelin one or two star establishments, very few can hold a candle to Table du 11. It is, in terms of both service and cuisine, head and shoulders above any other one star restaurant we have dined at and indeed superior to maybe half of the two star restaurants we have frequented. To deliver such consistency, whilst also providing no little invention is indeed a rare thing. In essence if you get the chance to dine here youd be a fool not to take it.

We were out for an evening stroll near our apartment and noticed this Michelin starred restaurant. Though we were casually dressed and had no reservation, they found us a table in their beautiful garden and we ordered from the reasonably priced prix-fixe options. Service was attentive and prompt; along with some savory amuse-bouche and good champagne we enjoyed a lovely meal. The mushroom-chicken tartelet stands out as one of the tastiest morsels ever, though the main courses were less exemplary. The occasional train cruising by took some getting used to, but all in all a good experience if one does not feel like going in to Paris for a meal.

Mrs. Chauvel's English has improved remarkably. Mr. Chauvel's cooking has taken on nuances of Japanese food. During April I went there twice with 2 different groups of friends and family. Both times we had the smaller menu for 70+ Euros. More than enought to eat. Interesting flavors and different. The first group (5) ate everything. The second group had one Hindu REAL vegetarian and a fish-only eater and me (normal). We had really original pure vegetarian meal: interesting vegetable presentations. Both times there were 3 desserts. Fabulous chocolate desert. Apetizers: one thing was radishes with black sesame seeds. Mr and Mrs. Chauvel have learned new things, but stay the kind, considerate people they have always been. The ambience and handicapped bathroom is an added attraction. A 3 star restaurant on a one star budget. Merci beaucoup.Thank you very much, it was a real pleasure to see you again. Thanks for my English. Our family ate here and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We had a mixed plate of meze, and the tzaziki was delicious. For main we shared some chicken skewers (picture) and lasagne.This little restaurant is worth trying, and half the cost of our bistro from last night.

This restaurant is unpretentious but the quality of the food and wines is superb. The fresh dishes of the day were of a high standard and the wine suggestion with each course were great. The owner/front of house was extremely knowledgeable about the wines and all the staff were friendly and approachable. Well done!

Very good restaurant, had the set 5course menu and a incredible value. Stay away from the old wine bottles in the winelist, and you'll have an excellent meal at half the price of central Paris. Langoustines were good, the Bresse chicken excellent. Service is good and they have an acceptable wine list.

interesting cuisine: tasty but not copious. Sometimes a bit over-fancy. The crab ravioli (using mouli radish instead of pasta) was good, as were the cod and tuna dishes. Wines a bit expensive, although some by the glass available, including a nice Sauvignon val de Loire. Cheverny and Lirac OK but nothing special. Service a bit slow but it was Friday night, and the staff well trained.

All previous positive reviews are herewith confirmed. Exterior and interior may not look too attractive, but if you are looking for the real thing for a fair price, here is a very good place to be. Apart from enjoying their great authentic French cuisine, our mixed Mexican-Dutch group shared some good laughs with 'la patrona', who is very willing to try and bridge any language gap and making it a fun experience for all involved. Neither cheap nor expensive, very good value for money. Patrona and - cook-with-the-difficult name, thanks for a gastronomic and cheerful evening.
