Delicious pizza cooked in wood fired oven. Sat outside but tables were shaded. Friendly efficient service and lovely welcome. We had the shared starter but didn't need it. Very limited choice of soft drinks but house wine was good. No wTer served with meal though.

We drove out of our way to come to this restaurant only to find it was closed that evening, and we could not have checked beforehand from UK. TripAdvisor should insist on phone numbers being given as well as opening hours

We often travel to the French Alps with our dogs so tend to break the journey with a night in a dog friendly hotel. Château de Courban fits the bill, sited in a small village with fields at the back for dog walking, and not far out of the way. We have always stayed in the old Château or in refurbished outhouses which are all comfortable and well appointed. Never busy in the winter, and with a pool that functions in the summer. The restaurant is good and has just got its first Michelin star, so getting busier with locals using it. Good buffet breakfast. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Weâll be back!
