A great location, a very good food and some very smiling staff... Definitely the right plan to enjoy a very good meal by the river with cigales.

Restaurant Français. Cuisine Française Avec Des Produits Frais Et Régionaux Variant Au Fil Des Saisons .
I have eaten in this charming, unpretentious restaurant on several occasions during the past few years and have always eaten well. Young chefs often try too hard resulting in bizarre combinations that only work occasionally. Not here. The chef is certainly young but his choices and innovations have without exception pleased my palate. Not easy to do!

This restaurant offered one meal and only meal only on the night we stayed there. It was mussels and chips, preceded by salad and followed by desert. Despite initial reservations the meal was actually very good and we had a nice pichet of wine. I would say don't be put off by the initial appearahce and the limited choice.bonjour desoler de ne pas parler anglais car nous n avons pas pu nous comprendre le soir ou vous etes venu mais ce jour la nous fesions une soiree speciale paella donc notre carte n etais pas servi car nous avons un large choix de plats .notre carte n est pazs limitee desolle que vous etes arriver le soir d une soiree specaile

Bistronomy
Bistro 23 is the most amazing surprise during our 8 day stay in Provence. We went mainly because they were open on Sunday night; and experienced The BEST food we had the entire trip. Every single dish was unique, complex, and memorable. Not Michelin food, better with whole portions of the best food we have had in France ever! This restaurant is a Must go to when touring Avignon, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Orange and the surrounding wine country. We wish we had discovered sooner as would have gone back until having tried every single item on the menu. Thanks Bistro 23.

Câest dans notre maison que nous vous accueillons pour vous proposer une cuisine gourmande, dans une ambiance chaleureuse et détendue, pour se sentir un peu comme chez soi, dans un esprit « table dâHôtes ».
This was my first time in restaurant like this, and there is difference between "normal" restaurant and this one. Service was perfect. Somalier was super nice and recomended good wine. And food, it was another level... Blend of flavoures and textures was amazing, innovative, with lot of imagination. Everything was great. And it is great ratio price-quality, great quality for affordable price.

We enjoyed a lovely Provence evening in a beautiful space. The staff was extremely accommodating. The wine list was extensive and impressive featuring wines from all the significant appellations of the region! The chicken was simply prepared with local ingredients that was cooked to perfection! We are a 60+ yr old couple/regular travelers. We ate at almost every restaurant in Châteauneuf-du-Pape during our weekâs stay there and this was our favorite restaurant by far!!!

Hotel & Restaurant 4* with a Panoramic View on the Vineyard of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. We are open everyday from the 25th of April until the 14th of October.
On the terrasse of a castle, overviewing the vines of Chateauneuf-du-Pape in the soft evening light, having a good wine of Fines Roches, followed by a 3-course-Dinner (actually 5, with amuse bouche and small entrée) - what could be better? Food was very good and plenty. Service was good. Make reservation, because the hotels guests also eat there.

We wanted to have a quick lunch at this restaurant which was so recommended by locals and Tripadvisor as well, but unfortunately we could not..To be honest we had no reservation, because we did not know when we could get there after a half day long wine tasting tour, but we were optimistic and tried to get a table for 2.. the problems was not that the restaurant was full,BUT the rude behaviour of the waiters: they said no hello, just 3 words: âwe are fullâ,then turned around and left us there standing in the middle of the restaurant.. btw we saw some empty tables,so I did another try with another waiter and the result was the same.. OMG! it was a shame on the restaurant!we had to walk away with the next bad memory about the French âhospitalityâ..

Lovely, busy little restaurant on the main street of Chateauneuf. Decent menu, nice wine choices and the owner or manager speaks flawless English which was appreciated.

This is the only place ever during our many travels in Europe that have us food poising. The place is huge, touristy, with bad service. Just avoid !! So many better places in that area.It is so true !!And the earth is flat ! And the US never landed on the moon ! And JFK was killed by the CIA ! And US is runned by an orange president ! And Tchernobyl never happened ! And the planes nerver crashed on the Twin Towers and Pentagone !And Michael Jackson is still alive, like Elvis and they are both living on a secret island !!!!And Area 51 is a secret place for Aliens !Trust Alyona ! The Bercail is poisoning people and delivering an awful quality of service !!!They must go bankrupt at once and have the head cut !!!!!;-))(sense of humour...)William
