Designated lunch stop, at this "resort/restaurant" beside the Old French Bridge. Firstly, and most importantly the Dark Beer Laos was COLD!!!. Fruit Juices were nice (so I'm told)...but did I mention the cold beer!!! Our lunch was great...Lumpia were hot, nice dipping sauce...and the chicken pepper stir fry was a winner. Cut up fruit...all good and cheap as.Great lunch stop

Taste delightful Thai-Chinese-Laos-western menus with fresh organic vegetables and Mekong River fishes.
We just left the waterfall, my thighs were screaming, it started raining hard, SabaiiDee Valley Restaurant came into view. I needed the rest, I needed the energy. So we stopped. I see it is more than just a restaurant, it also have a mini mart and souvenirs shop and villas to rent with a nice swimming pool. I learned the place is owned my Ubon singing legend, Tai Orathai. The food on the menu was mostly Thai. It wasn't street food cheap but it wasn't expensive either. Four of us orders plenty of food to satiate for less than $30US. The menu was just enough, not too many dishes and not too few. This place is a 45 minute drive or so out of Pakse. It is 1-2km short of the turn off to Tad Luang Waterfall. For me this was a great combination. Enjoy nature and the waterfall then enjoy the nutrition. Great food.
This restaurant is in a beautifully restored colonial building more reminiscent of Luang Prabang than Pakse. The menu is not extensive but covers European and Asian food. I only had a spaghetti carbonara this time and it was excellent. The steaks and other meats look appetizing and I'll be back for one of them on my next visit. Each table has a button for calling for service or paying your bill, I'm amazed I've never seen this anywhere else it seems so obvious.

We stayed in Little Eden Hotel and had dinner there. Restaurant is not near their swimming pool, need to walk through the nice garden having hotel rooms. The pool is nearer to the main street when the restaurant is on the riverside. We ordered one type of fish + 1 bowl of rice which cost 65,000 LAK. Extra 1 rice bowl 10,000 LAK which is expensive and rice was under cooked. We ate there for the convenience and to view the nice sunset. As hotel guests, we made our own drinks as they have hot water and instant coffee, tea, etc. set up in this restaurant. The next day we ate outside, tasted better and cost a lot less.

I understand there were staffing issues on the day we went however we were not forewarned that our food would take over an hour to be cooked, and even then, the pizza was undercooked. Has potential but there are better places in town.

Sabaidee Pakse is a new retaurant with nice Lao and Thai food and few western dishes. If you need information about the area around Pakse and the Bolaven plateau ask the staff - they know it really well. We also sell bus tickets to places in Laos and Thai
After returning from the short loop we were tired and hungry for a hearty breakfast. There were many good choices here and we liked everything we ordered. I especially enjoyed the mango stick rice and pancakes. Lots of food for small price, and yummy too!

We called here for dinner and loved it. From the front street it doesn't look like much, but if you choose to sit in the garden at the back you will find it transformed into a lovely dining area, where you get to watch the chefs busy in the kitchen and the pizzas being freshly prepared. The staff were friendly and attentive and really seemed to have fun working together. We were delighted to find the menu full of genuine Italian dishes, which we certainly didn't expect and have not seen anywhere else during our 8 months in Asia, so was a real treat. We both opted for pizzas and they were delicious, we also shared a salad with gorgonzola, apple and walnuts, it was amazing, I could have eaten a huge bowl of the stuff! My husband had the tiramisu for dessert and really enjoyed that too.All of this while enjoying an excellent soundtrack, again unlike any we've heard elsewhere on our travels, some great rock and roll tracks and some more eclectic tunes too.We had a wonderful evening here and would happily visit again, this time to try some of the delicious looking pasta.

Based on reviews we made the trek out to this restaurant. Iâm so glad we did! My favourite place on Don Det to eat. Big portions of really good food. We had the massaman curry and also the chicken with garlic, peppers and vegetables- really tasty. And the setting is so peaceful and relaxing right on the river. There are buffalos around and it just has a great feel. Definitely come here while on Don Det. You wonât regret it!
