We had cappuccinos on the terrace. Amazing view, and the service and hospitality incredible. I am dairy free and the almond milk cappuccino was fantastic. I travel the world and get dairy free cappuccinos wherever I can (where it's possible anyway) and this was by far the best, so tasty! To top it off with nice and great service, and an incredible view. Can't do any better than that!Unfortunately the restaurant is closed Sundays so we could not enjoy that. If we are ever back in this area we will definitely come back!Dear 748rayn,We thank you for your nice comment. We are glad to know that you highly appreciate our almond milk cappucino. We always pay attention to allergies and dietary restrictions of our guest. We look forward to welcome you next time to the restaurant !Best Regards,Mylène GelinAttachée de Direction

We had the most fantastic meal here. All the courses were beautifully presented and the flavours......amazing. Service was very attentive and any questions we had or assistance with the menu were perfectly handled. The quality of food here is so good and excellent value. To sum this place up âwe were blown awayâ. Fabulous and thanks for a great dining experience.

My partner and I went on the recommendation of our ( excellent) hotel (5 Lasserre). We had the best table overlooking the Dordogne and watched the golden evening light disappear as we enjoyed our 5 course chefs choice tasting menu.Langoustines ravioli superb. Sweetbreads excellent. We told the waiter what we wouldnât like ( such as chocolate pudding) and that did not appear.I would award the restaurant 4 1/2 stars as the service was a little slow, but it the staff are really pleasant.100 euros each is not cheap but the wine was good and it was a quality evening to remember.

As you leave the village of Saint-Emilion stop off at a unique location, whose stunning terrace looks out over unbeatable views of the vines and the Dordogne valley. Take off for an amazing trip and combine wine and gastronomy. After visiting our vineyard
Last 5 years we visit Saint-Ãmilion and have lunch in L'Atelier de Candale. It seems that this year was the last we had a lunch in L'Atelier de Candale: they made an extension of a front zone to get more tables, food were not as it used to be. And staff less friendly and less pleasant. Sorry L'Atelier de Candale, you are getting worse. Dear Maria M,Thank you very much for coming at lâAtelier de Candale again five years after your first visit. The extension was made for our customers enjoy the wonderful setting. You had a surprising experience. The chef Cyrille Gallard is the same and most people agree to say he is even more talented. Moreover, we also made an extension of the kitchen to have better facilities for better great food.Thank you for your helpfull comments.

Book a table on the terrace and enjoy a lazy lunchtime in Aquitaine! This relaxed restaurant continues to be THE PLACE where locals and visitors return for their special lunches. The value is exceptional, and the advice is to go for the daily "special".

Recommended for our group to give it a try. All have reasonably sophisticated palates and have eaten in many establishments. This one rated right there with interesting cuisine - primarily Italian. Quaint decor in restored medieval cottage lends itself to the dining experience. Service was average but then were busty with minimal staff but DON'T arrive early - they won't let you in even if its raining - but we are in France. Just laugh it off and enjoy a unique dining experience

A fabulous menu comprising many home produced delicacies and delicious local produce and some lovely local wines, plus a rural atmospheric setting amongst the roses. Chef and hostess great fun and extremely welcoming - a truly lovely evening chez La Poudette.

We were recommended to go on a Thursday night as there is entertainment during the summer on Thursday. The food was inedible and considering we were in Bordeaux the wine list was dreadful. Definitely not a place to go and the situation on the banks of the river is beautiful.

A perfect ambience restaurant. A bit difficult to find if you are driving without navigation system. However this spot is a real gem for those who are after the French cuisine complemented by French wine. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Headwaters even offered extra food for free. Topped our raw carpacio beef plate. This was extraordinary tasteful. Easy to say my favourite dish ever. A must visit.I'm visiting again tonight. Can't help to miss this opportunity.Ryan Grech

We had lunch on a Friday in late summer. Quick, attentive service from our waiter. No wait for our food. We had a brochette of duck and asked for it to be served medium-pink. And it was. We also had cotelette d'agneau and asked for it to be served the same way and it was. The duck was beautifully browned and crisp on the outside. A small salad dressed in a balsamic dressing on the side that was the perfect size. Both dishes came with frites. Frites are often undercooked, or overcooked or fatty. Not these. Almost the best part of the meal. Made from a floury potato, the frites were nicely brown, crisp and not swimming in oil. Perfect! We had two coffees and two small pichets of wine and the bill was E43.60 which is getting a bit steep for a lunch of this standard, we think. The terrasse outside was full by the time we arrived at 12.10pm but out waiter gave us a lovely table inside by a window.
