With a history stretching back nearly three millennia, Carthage was once the heart of a powerful Mediterranean empire before being leveled by the Romans in the Third Punic War in 146 BC. It sprang from the ashes to become an important early Christian center before again being destroyed by Islamic invaders in the late 7th century. We went there for dinner with some friends and enjoyed the time we had in this restaurant. Food in international and of good quality and taste. The place is very friendly.

I had dinner here with my family in May 2014, because I remembered the cosy and welcoming garden that I had seen a few times. Well, the food was really bad unfortunately. The sauce on the paste was probably ketchup. The bruschetta they served was really disappointing, too. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

New and old style combined together. Our aim is to provide the nicest food possible with variety every week. Our famous blackboards change everyday, so you will never be bored of our menu.
Welcoming staff, great views and a citron sorbet that is simply refreshing. Ignore the ground level restaurants and climb the stairway, past images of past eminent diners, to simply relax. A menu that combines French and Tunisian cuisine for the enjoyment of food. Do take time to look at the photos of previous diners on the wall e.g. Sen. John McCain and Claudia Cardinale.

Went there with lifelong Tunisian friend, who knows owners in command for 20 years.High quality dishes. Try the delicious seafood salad with its special sauce. And the mussels very well prepared. All fish are fresh from the sea and not bred.Desserts are tasty made by the spouse, French style.Carthage jet set meets there but service, while professional, remains friendly.

Had a really bad experience here - actually our only really bad experience on our trip to Tunisia. The view is really great, but unfortunately the service was EXTREMELY slow and bad. Pizza can only be ordered at 5pm, so we waited for the due time and ordered pizza. An hour later we discovered there was no pizza - thatâs the short story. We ended up walking out without paying for our drinks that we had ordered in anticipation of the pizza. Actually, an unpleasant experience. We were offered to order a salad instead - one of our party being vegetarian!

Breizh Bistrot is best known for its crepes - both sweet and savoury. We went to the one that had recently opened in Lac 1 and we both had the crêpe Normande, one of us adding an egg. The crêpe was quite nice except that it had too many caramelised onions so we had to take some of them out. The sweet crêpe with apples and caramel and salted butter was divine. Overall it is a nice place. They have a tendency to keep on cleaning the tables, which is good except for the overpowering smell of the product. Will certainly go again.

Situe sur la plage de Sidi Abdelaziz a La Marsa, le restaurant Le Golfe vous accueille depuis plus de 50 ans de midi a minuit en service continu.
The place was recommended by a friend.Itâs a fine dining experience, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the location, the lighting was just right - romantic and calm - and the inside very nicely decorated. They have nice seafood dishes - especially the lobster with spaghetti is very yummy! However, they donât speak much English although itâs a touristic place and the Menu itâs only in French. When asking for explanations of the dishes the waiter got very frustrated and couldnât provide us any guidance and seemed very annoyed. Not nice Cocktails not so good, but the wine Yes. WiFi was provided, the younger staff was more accommodating than the older waiters who just seem to be easily annoyed by everything from customers. Customer service overall was ok, but can improve much more for such a fine restaurant.Itâs recommended to book in advance as it was quite full even on a Tuesday evening.Parking was not provided. They have also a boutique inside the restaurant that is very nice, quite pricy though ...

This is the most popular (and en vogue) restaurant in Tunis now. It serves a French-Italian-Tunisian cuisine. La Closerie's food is delicious, and it's excellent for people watching (particularly of the Tunisian jet-set).
A unique place, vibrant with the jet setters, and an elite of young (and less young) people. The karaoke night is always packed from 10pm (even on weekdays)
