Located in the central square of St. Marie du Mont, just opposite the church, this traditional Normand restaurant serves local mussels cooked in 5 different ways.Mussels comes with french fries.The portion is really giant and the mussels are delicious.I also recommend the Camembert Roti, local cheese served molten with croutons.The price is very reasonable.

My family have been here twice in two years and I cannot understand the poor reviews I have seen. This is a French restaurant and serves very good French food, the French eat here!Last year we ate excellent steaks from the BBQ grill in the upstairs part of the restaurant BUT you need to understand that if you order Medium it will come up very rare, if you like your steak Medium order it Bien Cuit (well cooked) and you will be happy.This year we booked in advance as it does get busy, a table for seven of us was no problem and the place was only half full at 8pm when we arrived. The other diners were all French judging by their conversations with the waiting staff. Service was good but the staff do not speak good English so don't expect perfect translations. The Moules are excellent and fresh, the steaks are still very good and the desserts are delicious.By the time we left at 11pm the place was full with..Guess what...French people.

When we arrived and were seated we were the only people there, but the waitress still barely had time to serve us as she was running around doing everything else. We were starving and ordered a steak and fries. The food arrived relatively quick, but the steak was dry as cardboard and the sauce had a thick layer on top of it like it had been stored a while and heated in the microwave, the fries were dry and tasteless. The red wine was good though.

Easy to spot this orange building on the harbour front. We were slightly put off as the place was empty, not usually a good sign, but a charming young man came out and did quite a good job of translating the menu so, we ventured in. He took us upstairs, a stair-lift for the less able was a surprise, to where the people eat (downstiars is a bar). The restaurant is lovely. A wood fire, that they actually cook the steaks on, and a lovely view over the port. Food was very good. Had pommeau as an aperitif and the menu of the day All with excellent service and at a reasonable price â¬41.70 for the 2 of us, including wine & coffee.

Not a very vegetarian friendly restaurant, in France it is apparently not usual to have many meat free dishes. My vegetarian salad was rather poor and the mushroom omelette I got was burned so that a good third of it was un-eatable. But apart from that oysters were reportedly amazing and all the others meat-eaters were satisfied. They also have reasonably priced menu offer with starter, main dish and a dessert. As a big plus we also saw perfectly English speaking waiter. (Oh and another one - beautiful view on the bay)

We had been here for Wednesday lunch and were so impressed we returned for Saturday lunch driving from St Vaast . The dining room is relaxing and the food superb on either the menu du jour or the 28 Euro menu.

Bien sûr si vous recherchez un restaurant gastronomique avec beaucoup de tape à lâÅil, alors passez votre chemin.Par contre si vous cherchez un restaurant sympa, simple, avec un accueil très chaleureux, une cuisine entièrement maison, une conception originale avec trois buffets très bien présentés, alors venez sans gêne et sans crainte.Un avis précédent très négatif, nous a fait réfléchir, avant de retourner dans ce lieu qui nous avait enchanté. Et en fait ce nâétait que de la malveillance volontaire.Effectivement nous allons vers ce type de lieu, simple, avec ce principe convivial de buffets, si on aime ce principe. Celui-ci nous permet dâaller à notre rythme, rapide si on travaille, et plus cool si on a tout notre temps. Le tout pour le prix dâun routier avec une qualité irréprochable.

Great place to come for a French/American experience. We've been here a few times now and it's always good value. Large range of American type burgers served in a very French way. Old Clint Eastwood westerns on the big screen.They do a version of Death by Burger, huge and with chips at about ⬠20.00. Deserts are good value with Ice Creams, Waffles, Creme Brulee or Crepes. This is a young persons place so do not be surprised if you eat early and see loads of families and later the teenagers arrive. It is located in the E.Leclerc car park so there are about 700 spaces to choose from. Have fun.

We tried this restaurant having seen the existing reviews, it sounded special and it was. It is small with additional space upstairs. If you need to have a table on the ground for reserve it. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. The menu of the day had two starters and two main courses. It offered dishes we all were happy with and they were explained so we knew exactly what we would receive. When the food arrived the waiter added his comments which informed and confirmed our choices. The desserts and coffees completed an excellent meal. We will use this restaurant for special occasions as often as we can.
