Great great service, people here are extremely welcoming and kind. We asked for some variations of the menu and we had exactly what we wanted! We were a big group with kids and they served the kids in like 5 minutes! Awesome!

Enjoy Sardinia with all your senses.Get in touch with Sardinian authentic food, with the taste of our menu, the wine aroma, the view of the sea and towering Tavolara Island, the sound of the gentle surf .
Beautiful setting, but an expensive place. We ordered sea bass which we could only have for 2 people as you have to have a whole fish. The fish arrived and it was huge we were very impressed even though it was costing us â¬28 per person. However the fish we were served was minuscule and our expensive sea bass was wheeled away. We felt that there was a lot more fish to be served and stated this. The fish was served with roast potatoes and we paid extra for a mixed salad â¬7. The roast potatoes were awful. When we went to pay we commented that the fish was not good value for money and the manager completely lost it!!! He started to shout that this was the way they did it and no one else complained. He was very loud and aggressive. Overall this restaurant was a place we would never go back to. Over priced, and arrogant staff. The quality of the food was poor and the whole experience was dreadful. Glad to get out!!!Dear McOscarThank you for having spent one evening of your holiday in our restaurant. We have been very pleased to welcome you and to prepare a sea bass in salt rock for you and your wife. The fish was prepared and served in a very professional way, as we do many times, every day.Our waiter presented the fish in salt rock to you. Of course, it looked huge, as there was a thick salt rock around the fish. It was cleaned from the salt in front of you and filleted in two portions off the bones and served. The tray containing the salt, the bones and the head of the fish was brought away. You accused us, in a very unpleasant way, that we did not serve all the fish and did not accept our explanation. When you refused to pay the bill, threating us to write a bad review on Tripadvisor, we had to be strict and pretend the payment. We have been running the âRistorante Il Portolanoâ with passion for 20 years, providing professional service and excellent quality food, making thousands of guests truly happy and grateful.

Because of all the positive reactions we recently visited this fish restaurant. Regretfully we were all disappointed. The grilled fish was dry and without any flavour, meat of poor quality, service too fast that made you feel you had to move quickly for new arrivals and the female staff was simply rude and unpleasant. Try some other place I would suggest!!

This was a quick stop for some lunch whilst enjoying the beach. The service was good after the initial wait. The manager was attentive and genuinely seemed to enjoy looking after customers. The chicken and chips was cooked and seasoned well. A nice drop of ichnusa washed it all down.

With a great team and a breathtaking view, Tavernetta Restaurant has become one of the best and beatiful seafood restaurant in the area! The restaurant is located 20 meters from the mediterranean sea, so while enjoying the delicious food, you'll have a ma
We had the mixed fresh fish and the Sardinian Raviolo: Both great! The fish was fabulous and the home-made beer Wayan suited it perfectly! The strawberry cheesecake was great! Friendly service and very close to the beach. Only thing to think about is that parking is shared with beach goers. A great find!

This beach is spectacular and the advantage here is that you can book the lounge chairs per half day instead of having to pay a full day. The part of the beach reserved for just putting your towel in the sand is very crowded. we paid (in September) 13⬠for a half day for 2 chairs and an umbrella. You get free showers and a lot of space between the beds so the comfort was really worth the price. The beach bar however is really not good, very dry pre-packaged sandwiches. The pasta is also pre-packed and not prepared there. I suggest you take a picknick and order a cold beer only. The parking is quite expensive too: â¬2/hour, but that's around the usual rate at almost all beaches in Sardegna. I would say this beach is ideal for an afternoon chilling after a morning activity.

Most reviews of this restaurant talk of the view - this is a special place - around sunset it's similar to places like Santorini - spectacular 270 degree panoramic views. The food was excellent - a limited menu with really fresh ingredients, well prepared, and the service was welcoming and efficient. Of course fresh fish doesn't come cheap but the prices were fair for the dinner we had - this is a place for a special occasion - if you go with that frame of mind you shouldn't be disappointed.

Visited 3 years ago and were impressed. Now however there appears to have been a few slippages. Grilled seafood included sea bass and sea bream fillets, both of which appeared farmed. Squid was tough. But to be fair the tuna, single prawn and langoustine were fresh. Good frites! Another plus was loads of freebies in the form of amuse bouche and petit fours. Service attentive, nice prosecco by the glass. Ice cream with half a jar on Nutella on top was a bit heavy handed.Overall the cafe nearby in the plaza has much better seafood.

If you eat here make sure you book for a table with a view. We didn't and we missed out on a fantastic view, but that was our mistake. My children had the pasta with lamb, it was delicious, we all loved it. I had the fritto misto which was nice, quite expensive and there are plenty of places locally where you can get the same at a better price. The cuttlefish starter was really tasty and we all shared it. The rice with spicy squid was nice (it's not rice it's the pasta that is very similar to rice) was pleasant, but nothing special. We had the crema catalina for dessert and sadly it was curdled and unpleasant.I don't think that I would visit again, but if I did I would go for the great view and the pasta dishes.Grazie per aver scelto il nostro ristorante, è stato un piacere potervi accontentare, speriamo di rivederci il prossimo anno. Grazie e buona giornata
