I came here with my brother for dinner today. The two waiters were very accommodating and friendly, but also a bit overwhelmed with the full restaurant, which resulted in slight delays. As I'm on holiday I do not mind waiting though. We had a little hiccup with the starters: I ordered the prosciutto crudo e melone but only received the prosciutto without the melon - oh well. The waitress apologised over and over again, I did not mind. The beef filet with fondue and truffles was divine (although a bit too much truffle for my liking). The roast potatoes were a but bland.Overall I really enjoyed my visit here and would definitely come back to try some of their pasta dishes.

The Ristorante Ciccarelli Esplanade offers Professional and Welcoming Service, fresh and genuine dishes made with knowledge from the Kitchen Staff..
We used this restaurant as we were half board guests at the residence hotel. I was initially dubious about the food on half board relatively inexpensive holiday however I was pleasantly surprised. Breakfast was standard buffet style but catered for all breakfast preferences as well as vegan and gluten free. It was possible to have special orders of omelette fried eggs etc. All this was served between 7 and 10 am by excellent attentive friendly staff. Evening meals were exceptional there was good choices of 3 courses on half board menu always a pasta, fish dish, meat option and vegetarian option. If in the unlikely event you did not like the daily menu it was possible to substitute your dish from the a la crate menu. I can honestly say that in 10 occasions I ate there neither of us were disappointed. The options to eat on the terrace outside or in air conditioned restaurant were available. As this hotel is open to the public it was often busy with a great atmosphere. The staff are all excellent really efficient even when busy guests get first class service at all times. I will give special thanks to Giulio who served our table most nights as well as having really good wine knowledge and recommendations he was friendly with excellent English and made us laugh !wishing him well in his law career. This restaurant is a must if you find yourself in Viareggio!!Dear 123ellibob, thank you very much for your kind feedback, Giulio and alla the staff will wait for you for another experience with us!!Best regardsGiuseppe

Do you like tuna? Here you can choose between the antipasto (starter) ceviche (raw tuna) or the main course of seared tuna steak. Both cost the same. My partner took the latter with roast vegetables - all were delicious. I took the antipasto seafood salad in preference to the fish soup on the recommendation of the waiter/manager whose wife cooks... divinely! I don't know how she does it, but every clam in my salad was a gustatory revelation - slightly sweet, they were the highlight of a copious plate of octopus, crayfish, prawns, mussels and slender, raw vegetables. Everything else came up to the same standard: the bread, the recommended wine, even the unusual napkins witha poem on them (in English, albeit not a literary masterpiece!).I very rarely order dessert in Italy, not just because one course usually suffices, but because Italian restaurants nearly always offer the same uninspired, commercial fare. This place is different and I would have gladly eaten any one of the desserts on offer. I opted for what turned out to be a custard tart, purportedly with apple and Calvados. Whatever - it did not disappoint. To accompany it I selected a French dessert wine with the flavour of Williams pears - a superb choice.I imagine that this review will be lost amongst hundreds of others since this restaurant has already received the highest possible accolade from TripAdvisor and I really do not know why I am bothering to add to the plaudits. For whatever good it does it will earn me another one of TripAdvisor's badges and satisfy some inner creative urge to talk about something agreeable.I should mention that the final bill for one starter, one main course with a side dish of vegetables, one dessert, one bottle of water, one glass of white wine and one glass of dessert wine amounted to â¬57.

We discovered this restaurant on our last night, so pleased we did.. Unusual menu..Very attractive inside and out with a cool blue nautical ambience.. Quirky odd chairs around the tables and nice lighting.. The service was very good and the food was well presented and tasty. I had the Red Tuna and my husband can recommend the fresh Ravioli. We couldn't manage dessert but the menu was mouthwatering!

We popped in without any clue and we had the best experience. Lovely atmosphere, pleasant location, delicious food. I had a supertasty animal and dairy free meal, my husband chose a fish soup; then vegetables for me and an apple pie for him. Everything was perfect and the kindness of the people made the experience even more worthy. I took a photo of the flavorful and attractive appetizer offered by the house. do not miss it!

Tuesday evening after Easter celebrations everyone had, it was hard to come up with a solution for a dinner out with guests!Horrific weather just like November we wanted something laidback but nice and stylish.Used to summer pleasant treats we thought about Filippo at Pietrasanta. His new location in via Barsanti 45 is stylish understated and just walkathons we needed!Enjoy full evening in 9 of us of which 5 of our kids. Magnificent dishes, equilibrated portions, excellent combinations of flavours. BRAVO Filippo ed il suo team!!!Grazie per la gradevolissima serata.A presto Cepparello and Co!

LAVintage is a steakhouse, burger bar and bistrot in Pietrasanta.
What a beautiful restaurant, tucked away in pietrasanta, serving delicious steaks. Staff are helpful, food is fresh and tasty, shared the 1.2kg. T bone, which is enough for 3 people. All steaks come quite rare so worth mentioning if need it cooked further. Highly recommend this place. Not cheap!

Had a dinner here with friends this week based on very high TA ranking. Food was very average: risotto bland, tuna chewy and poor quality, Chianina burger was tasty but small with very dull fries/sides. Dessert was good. Staff pleasant. Wine list OK. Expected something a little special/passionate but absolutely not!

We visited Il Circo at the recommendation of friends. It is a couple of minutes walk from the main square in Pietrasanta, and we went a little earlier than most Italian diners, so were the first there, though it was full shortly afterward. We had foie gras in an orange sauce that was to die for and my husband's pork had slow cooked for 48 hours and was amazing. The couple who own it are a fantastic team, he in the kitchen, she in the dining room. Wow!

We had a hard time finding this restaurant as there is a narrow dark countryside road leading to it. But we forgot about it once the waiter got us to our table. The views were terrific, you can the whole coast line, and a table was set on a secluded terrace. Even though the menu is pretty short, once our dishes were brought we all had a continuous "foodgasm" chasing food with nice bottle of Sassicaia. If you like small cosy restaurants with a great food, this place is a must visit.
