We stayed at Hotel Cannero and enjoyed such an amazing dinner at their restaurant, âI Castelliâ. Everything was perfect: selection of the freshest salads, delicious gnocchi with fresh cherry tomatoes, cream of asparagus soup with garlic bruschetta, cockerel breast stuffed with olives, dory fish fillet with fresh vegetables, and mouthwatering profiteroles for dessert... and one of my favorite wines, Nebbiolo... Fantastic prompt service, gorgeous interior, food presentation - perfect! We dine inside, but outside sitting is also available... Grazie Mille for our fabulous dinner which we will not forget. We stayed at Hotel Cannero and enjoyed fabulous breakfast at this restaurant twice. Cannot think of a better choice to stay on Lago Maggiore.

We ate lunch here twice. They have a great menu of simple sandwiches and smaller meals that are perfect for lunch if you do not want a huge meal.There is plenty of seating right on the waterfront (where we sat), but the cafe is slightly up the hill from the waterfront.

We received a friendly greeting and were seated at a lovely table with great views over the lake. An excellent menu and very good wine pairings. Service was friendly and efficient. We were allowed to take our time and left having had a very pleasant dinner at an excellent restaurant, with lovely views over the lake.

Beautiful location and very extensive hotel with grounds that seem to go go on forever on the shore of Lago Maggiore. There is something for everyone here. Formed rock pathways snake through beautiful gardens and rocky outcrops, past the wellness centre and on to the kids play area and multiple swimming areas beneath rock pools fed by waterfalls. Considering the owners of this restaurant have such great other establishments this is very badly run.The food when it arrived was good but the wait and the standard of service left a huge amount to be desired. Steer clear, save your money, find somewhere else to eat

During a torrential rainstorm, we wandered up the narrow alley from the Hotel Cannero to visit this local establishment. It was packed inside which is usually a good sign. Anyway, it was a very good dining experience that could have been a great dining experience - if the service matched the food and prices.The room itself was warm and cozy. The food was delicious and the prices were the most reasonable yet on our European adventure. The only "issue" we had was the service. All the wait staff seemed bored or put out for having to seat us at our table or service us at all. They didn't even offer any water when we first sat down. Overall, the meal was great, the location was great and the value was great. They just need to work on putting some "McSmiles" on their staff.

Good menue, good quality of the food. Nice place to sit. The chief of staff who takes the orders should learn to be a little more friendly. His behavior did not make you feel overwhelmingly welcomed.

We got a warm welcome and could choose any free table, 5/5.The restaurant is comfortable and cosy modern decorated. 4/5The view over Lago Maggiore is splendid. 5/5Service is friendly and very efficient. 5/5We ordered: Green tea, Espresso, Red Wine 5/5.Squid salad 5/5, mixed salad 5/5, Risotto "Steinpilzen" 5/5, Argentine Grilled prawns 5/5, T-bone steak medium 5/5, Tiramisu 5/5. We will come back soon!

This is a very meticulous restaurant, everything is done well. I went there twice in three days. Exquisite food, fantastic service, lovely ambiance and very good value, if you are not delighted then you should have not come to Italy? Make sure you book.

Wauw, what a nice surprise when we entered. The atmosphere was superb, as well has the host and staff. Food itself is reasonable (example: I took the duck which was slightly overcooked for me, but the taste was still great) and price a bit expensive for what you get. However the total experience makes it worth it.
