We visited on a weekday lunchtime and it was very good. Freshly prepared salads and sandwiches and very friendly service. There was a steady stream of customers, old and young, couples and students. We will return with the family to try something else from the menu.

The New Scarisbrick Arms Restaurant provides cuisine catering to the highest standards. We serve both traditional dishes as well as providing the experience of fresh culinary ideas in the stylish ambience of our eatery. Visit us and find out for yourself.
Just had the most appalling lunch, possibly pick the wrong menu judging by other reviews but we just wanted a light bite. We were served with the most tasteless WHITE sandwich as they didnât have any other bread. Tuna mayo was disgusting and bacon and lettuce but they had no bacon so we were given ham . Fries were uncooked beige sticks and the salad was lathered in SALAD CREAM . This is no reflection on the staff that served us as they were lovely but a review was needed so other Diners DO NOT PICK THE LUNCH MENU.

This is a really great place for breakfast. Prices are very good and the wood wS incredibly well cooked and of good quality. The only reason this isnât a 5/5 is due to the service being quite slow. It didnât matter on this occasion as we were having a good catch up but drinks took an age to come after ordering. But the food tastes great and is very reasonable and the place is very chilled and nice looking so Iâd certainly return.

I visited last night with three friends for two birthday celebrations. It was my friends first time here. I was lucky enough to have visited two years ago and for so long have been looking forward to returning as it had been so good. I didnât think it was possible but the experience was even better. I think it was overall the best food and service I have ever had. Everything was perfect. Staff are warm and friendly and while the food is exceptional the restaurant is not âstuffyâ and you feel relaxed and comfortable. Lovely to sit in the bar before dinner and start with snacks and champagne. Then to the kitchen for more snacks and then seated for the most beautiful and tasty food. Excellent wine pairing and brilliant service. The staff work so hard. We all loved the cheese room and cocktails after. Worth every penny was a fantastic night thank you for looking after us so well. We all loved it and will be dreaming of the amazing dishes until we visit again.

Have been to this restaurant a few times before tonight. Food and atmosphere and staff always positive. However, tonightâs experience was entirely different. The staff looked and acted like they had a long and hard day. The starters were cold and the main did not live up to its description. Ver disappointed. Wonât return.

Overall had a really nice meal, hubby had the grilled goats cheese and I had the smoked duck.. presented very nicely under a dome of smoke...Main meal roast beef was faultless although a little more pan gravy and more than a teaspoon of horseradish sauce would have been great... Rhum Baba for pudding was nice but cudnt taste any rum at all....Everything was very tasty and we will definitely be back
