My husband and I chose the Chef Specialist menu and it was absolutely incredible. All dishes were amazing flavors and perfect balance. Our favorite was the burrata with chorizo sauce. Wow! Flavor burst! Great friendly service, extremely knowledgeable about the food and wines. I really enjoyed a selection of cocktails from their ginventory which our waiter recommended and chose each option for me. Highly recommend!

Attended yesterday evening with a group of ladies. We were welcomed by our waiter and service began immediately. The menu was modern European and I tried the Green Salad and Steak. DELICIOUS and filling .Everyone enjoyed their selection and the deserts were very artistically presented .The co-owner behind the bar made sure all was running smoothly. Atmosphere was quiet with soft lighting and light background music. Great place to share conversations with fellow diners. We were able to pay our individual tab by cash or card which made it a big help.

I was staying in an apartment at Mermaid beach. Because of my late arrival, and jet lag, I couldn't sleep. Got up very early to walk on the beach and watch the sun come up, then wandered around looking for some breakfast. Found this place. It wasn't due to open for another 45 minutes, but the menu looked good, so I sat at one of their outdoor tables, reading my book until teh staff started to arrive. I explained that I was waiting for breakfast, and as soon as they were open, one of the waiting staff came over, to ask me which table I would like, and was very solicitous in making sure that I had everything that I needed.They made me an excellent omelette, and some very good sourdough toast, and a big pot of tea. It was all delicious. I returned another morning, and had a slightly customised version of their eggs benedict. On both occasions the staff could not have been better, the food was very good indeed, and if I'm ever back over there, I shall have breakfast there again. Highly recommended. (They do take-out and fresh baked goods too).

Our second visit did not disappoint. The service was great. The food really really good with lots of choice. The serving sizes too big but surely not a complaint for most people. All the staff were attentive and friendly and professional. The handmade cocktails fabulous.Iâm thrilled you had another great experience at Balboa Italian. We had been recommended this as a quality dining location on the Gold Coast.Unfortunately the food, service and experience did not justify the visit.The food was very average (even though we both love truffles) and the choice and capacity to deal with a gluten allergy were woeful. The service timing and table set up made the visit a disaster.

Another visit to Avvia and as per usual the atmosphere, staff service and food was amazing. Not often do you find consistency of this kind I'm restaurants. Perhaps it's because they pride themselves on ensuring a dining "experience" above all else. Started with prawn dumplings, then we shared the lamb and prawn gnocchi. Finished with chocolate souffle. Staying at the GC because my passport had expired and could not get on plane to Bali anyways delightful holiday still. Uber driver suggested this place and it did not disappoint. On arrival lovely waitress bought us cold water and then ordered a bottle of red. Entree of shared salad and focaccia then after a nice time between a meal the mains. One was fettuccine carbonara and the other was tomato gnocchi. Both were absolutely delicious. Really nice place for dinner. Great wine list great service. Would highly recommend

Went to celebrate my birthday. We had a friendly greeting from Karin, our hostess. Started with Onion Rings and marinated Olves. Best Onion rings ever. Very tasty olives.Then we had the Stuffed Zuccini Flowers, Fish Hot Pot, Whiting Fillets & Pork Belly. Everything was sensational. We each had a cocktail but unfortunately they were all far too sweet. The Pinot Grigio was excellent. To finish I got a surprise birthday desert of Chocolate mud cake and creme brulee. Great decor and ambience, good music - not too loud! Overall an excellent experience!Hello Andre, We are happy to have you here.
