But in the end with the help of other people we made it. Excellent local food...We ate pumpkin soup and roasted pork with crauts of course....

The food was well cooked and tasty but the portions were small.Although highly recommended by friends we found the food was severely over priced.Tended to be more of an artistic creation that came from the kitchen, and definitely not a plateful of something to fill you. If you are looking for Hausmannskost look elsewhere. In general, nice enough but nearly 17 euro for a grill teller with 3 very small pieces of meat and a minimal portion of vegetables and what looked like chips/fries from McDonalds is definitely overpriced. The table next to us had pizzas and they looked good and were about the cheapest thing on the menu....at just under 10 Euros also a bit steep. Definitely better value can be had at any Italian restaurant. Our overall view is that we would not recommend it to our friends and we will not be in a rush to go back.
Thanks God, I found this beautiful hotel in town. I had a great room with an amazing view. Very friendly people. And the breakfast. I'll never forget their service. Thank you very very much.

Bavarian food
Dropped in here for a meal last night while staying across the road at the Lambacher guesthouse. It was very busy (about 7:30pm on a Saturday night), but the waitress managed to find us one free table that just needed to be cleared. We weren't really hungry as we had eaten a massive lunch at Tegernsee Brausterbl, so we ordered drinks first, a dark beer (Dunkel) for me and a Pinot Grigio 0.25L for my wife. The Pinot turned out to be a rose! The menu was in German and I couldn't understand most of it, so the waitress brought us an English version and we ordered one meal to share (Shashlik with french fries). When the meal appeared, it was clear that this order was also mixed-up, in that we had a very full plate each! The food was very tasty, with the shashlik of meat and veg covered in a goulash-like sauce and the chips were the crispiest, tastiest ever with the gravy! Although full, I managed to eat most of mine and my wife finished hers off completely! The waitress was lovely, very helpful, and i think the kitchen screwed up our order, hence, only 3 stars, but the food is definitely worth 4 stars.P.S. I also am giving just 3 stars because the restaurant was way too warm, even when we stripped down to T-shirts. A poor lady on an adjacent table was fanning herself for much of the night!

Our restaurant specialises in regional dishes, perfect for anyone who takes pleasure in fresh ingredients and traditional home cooking. Like our grandmothers before us, we only select the best that our Bavarian fields, forests and farms have to offer for
ducks galore!A delightful Sunday Lunch with friends in a very busy yet relaxing restaurant serving grilled duck, red cabbage and potato dumplings to perfection.Make sure you book a table!Dear Peter E.,thank you very much for our assessement. It's nice to hear that you enjoyed your visit. And it is a great tip to know, that it is better to reserve a tabel in our restaurant.Hope we will see you soon....Best wishes from Samerberg

This restaurant and hotel is situated right in the middle of Neubeuern. Neubeuern is a municipality in the district of Rosenheim in Bavaria in Germany only about 10km from the Austrian border. The small town has a good selection of restaurants some good, some very good, and some simply not worth entering. The Valuga or to give itâs full title Valuga Im Glaserwirt, is not just one of the best. It is THE best.It is rather old fashioned and quaint and of course the staff are in traditional costumes. The meal order was taken quickly and the drinks arrived a couple of minutes later.Although recommendations were given we had already chosen what we wanted. The restaurant has a superb menu with lots of traditional German or rather Bavarian recipes. I plumped for something traditional and ordered a home-made tomato soup followed by a Jaeger Schnitzel and my wife ordered Piccata Milanese. As I prefer my Schnitzel to be breaded (Paniert) I asked for that too. The soup was excellent and full of flavour made obviously with a very good stock and some lovely tomatoes. The Schnitzel was simply to die for. Perfectly tender and with the accompanying sauce it was like a small piece of heaven on the tongue. I also tried my wifeâs Piccata Milanese⦠which is basically small pieces of turkey breast in parmesan with a spicy tomato spaghetti. It was gorgeous.Followed by a lovely chocolate mousse and a nut ice cream dish, it was simply to die for.Yes some of the dishes were a little expensive but others were not only reasonable but cheap. This place has seen us return a few times since last week, and I have a feeling we will work our way through the menu and then start again. It is not to be missed.

There was a family celebration (wedding?) when were there, lots of children and everyone in national dress. Other guests were welcomed and served efficiently. We sat in the courtyard with animals wandering around including the oddest looking chickens I have ever seen. Perfectly correct food of the meat and potatoes variety. Good tasting and good prices. A very nice place to sit and watch the life in the village.
Hier wird alles frisch zubereitet und die Spezialität des Hauses ist Hirsch. Innen sitzt man urig und aussen ist eine tolle Terrasse mit Blick zu den Hirschen
