This restaurant is in a gas station. When you walk in, the menus are at the counter which we didnât know. After waiting 5 minutes we had to go to the counter to ask for menus and once we decided, we had to go back to place our order. While the people who we working at the gas station/restaurant were not very friendly or helpful, once we ordered, the burger we got was delicious. The burger had cucumber, sauce, lettuce, tomato and one of the most perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs I have ever had. Kudos to the chef for making that burger killer. The fries were very crispy which was another plus. Overall good food just wish there was adequate direction.
RESTAURANT AND BARIn our restaurant we serve home made and fresh products. Every day we offer a home made dish based on our own recipes. The soup of the day is very popular such as the meat and fish balls. For all those in need for speed we offer a big va
As there isn't much else in the area we chose this place for lunch. It's a b&b, restaurant and mini supermarket. Friendly staff. They serve fast food: pizza, burgers, rösti, hotdogs.... Quality is good. Don't expect gourmet, but we were happy to support a local business!

This family owned restaurant is placed at Hraunsnef Countryhotel, 5 km north of Bifröst university in Borgarfjördur. We have a working farm, producing our own freerange pork and beef and are concentrating on local food.
We stopped by for lunch at the Hraunsnef restaurant. Nice little cottage quaint restaurant. Warm and friendly service. Cozy ambience and nice interior set up. Furnishing and tables are from reused timber and wood. Good food and nice Irish coffee. Good choice to have lunch here.

Stayed 2 nights as part of tour. Somewhat disappointing as the other Icelandair hotel previously reviewed was definitely slightly better. Hotel had sagging or very soft beds. Wi-Fi very slow. Breakfast selection was very modest, and since it caters to tours, the arrangement of putting so much on a small table just invites crowding. Not particularly the hotel, but both nights' dinners were very salty, regardless whether appetizer or entree. Desserts were tasty. Service was slow in between, perhaps due to our 35 people sized group. Overall staff was helpful and courteous.

We put emphasis on creating a relaxed and cozy atmosphere to go with the spirit of the old buildings by the Bay. As for food, we focus on locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant has a one-of-a-kind view of the sea, with its islands and rocks, teaming
Good service and good food at this place. You better make a reservation if you want to have the view on the sea. They have an excellent fish buffet (warm) at reasonable price.

It is a shame how you can damage a simple course like a Hamburger and Fries in may ways by bad cooking, The salmon is a better choice but expensive. A cosy place to visit in beautiful surrounding. Try driving the old road over the mountains going north from Rjukandi, if you are driving a small jeep and ask about the history of the trolls sitting on each side of the road one south and the other north. A beautiful scenery.
