Stay away if you fancy large portions and straightforward cuisine. This is probably a restaurant better suited for lighter evening meals than lunches because you may feel hungry at the end (which is less of an issue before jumping to bed but will certainly be before a day at the beach windsurfing) and the dishes are quite original so not to everyoneâs taste. So still 4* review because the food quality is excellent, the originality is great and the âtapasâ concept is an interesting one worth trying. Not 5* for the reasons above and the fact that the bill remains quite high even if one picks the cheapest tapas on offer and prevent oneself from ordering dessert.

Bonifacio is pretty, but also is almost entirely a tourist trap. This restaurant was reasonably priced and the pizza was good and large enough to share. The local Corsican dishes and desserts were good too. Friendly and efficient service.

Food was nice here too bad the welcoming wasnt as nice.Very uptight host should learn the customer service industry. Hope she's the owner otherwise I would be pissed if I found out I had people treating my customers like that. Will probably skip next time due to host

This looked a very promising location for a romantic nightâs dinning. However despite arriving around 7:30 pm we found the rest of Bonifacio had made the same decision, and after being shown to our reserved table we waited 45 minutes for our order to be taken. Bread had to be asked for, the response from the waitress being âI was about to get it anywayâ. When it arrived it appeared to be stale. The food itself was good, however by the time it arrived the ambience was not.

Cosy restaurant, frendly and relax atmosphere, fresh and home made local food meat fridge ,outside terrasse
We ate here as it was the sister restaurant to another we had eaten in during our week in Bonifacio. Fair to say the sister restaurant was a cut above this vaguely rustic establishment. Standards vary it seems. The tuna main was good, nicely pink, well cooked and very tasty. The accompanying couscous must have been dipped in a bath of Fairy washing up liquid, so overpoweringly lemon was the taste. The fish fillet with vegetables scored no marks for presentation - it looked a mess - and didn't quite make it to delicious but was good. Desserts were OK but the overall experience was confusing - great tuna, awful couscous, messy fish. There are too many ordinary restaurants in Bonifacio and this is one of them. It could be better but lacks consistency.Désolé de vous avoir déçu et vous avoir fait passer une mauvaise soirée ( ce qui nâest sûrement pas notre but) mais sûrement comme vous le dite nous sommes un restaurant ordinaire qui essai de faire de la bonne cuisine pour des gens ordinaire .Comparer notre cuisine à notre autre restaurant « jumeau » est sensiblement idiot de votre part et vous garantit qu avec un ticket moyen de 30⬠de +nous pouvons au moins essayer de faire beaucoup mieux pour émerveiller vos yeux .

We decided to try out this place as we read the pizza was good on earlier reviews. We were not disappointed. The pizza was great and we had a good bottle of wine and a tuna salad (which was not on the menu but I asked if they could prepare it and they kindly did). Everything was delicious and reasonable priced. You can tell the ingredients fresh, what a great family owned restaurant. Very friendly service in English also. Merci! :)

We stayed here at the hotel. This is a very special restaurant. A young and talented chef. He has his own garden (our room looked out over it). Sources local ingredients for very flavourful food. I had the "white risotto" one night- amazing- topped with shaved chestnuts.Breakfast is also delicious, many choices, fresh. This was by far our best food on Corsica

Decided to eat here and was greeted by the owner and shown to a a table, he eventually came back with the menu board accross the street and proceded to go full flow into his presentatin, we stopped him and asked if he spoke any English to be told NO, (he was happy to speak Italian to another couple) so we pressed on with our limited French and ordered. We asked for a glass of House Rose, but he said only half litre bottles available, we said OK and the food and wine arrived. The wine was a named bottle of local wine not a House wine as we requested, but this was all he had. The food was starter was OK, but one main of Chicken Risotto was dry and bland, we ordered the desserts of Chocolate Fondant and this arrived in about two minutes, microwaved and dry. We asked for the bill and when it came the wine we had been given was 23 euros for half a litre, no wonder he didnt serve house wine!!

Regional cooking house made pasta and regional dish speciality
We usually do not go for the fixed price menu as the quality is never very good but we made an exception here as the courses we wanted were included in it. We had the Menu du Berger and we were not disappointed. The food was good (aubergines à la Bonifacienne, sanglier, gnocchi de l'Alta Rocca, Parfait à la châtaigne and Panacotta), the service was efficient and the waiter had good advice.
