Une cuisine faîte maison pour un petit prix et le vin très correct pour un petit prix aussi. Difficile de trouver mieux pour le même prix.

The stables of a château , a glass and concrete cube , a view of the bridge of Aquitaine , the feeling of being in the countryside ... An original setting for an unusual cuisine: Vivien Durand knows how forget his great technique to reveal all his inspira
This restaurant is a one star Michelin place, and therefore serves good food, offers good service (and is expensive) . It lived up to the expectationIn the evening they just offer their two tasting menus, one of 5 courses and one of eight courses. We chose the 5 course menu and found even that was almost more than we could eat.The setting is breath-taking - but you do need to have a table in the half of the restaurant with the picture windows. Ask to be seated there when you reserve. We had a view over the château, and as night fell, the château was floodlitThe staff are very good, friendly and polite, without being over friendly nor obsequious.. Personally I found their uniform a bit odd, the men in jeans and white trainers, and the girls in red dresses and white trainersThe menu changes weekly, so you are unlikely to have what we had, but take it from me, the flavour, quality and presentation of the food is outstanding.. We had a bottle of wine , rather than the selection of different wines you can have with each course. For a Michelin star restaurant, the wines are reasonably pricedIt was a bit difficult to find, my GPS did not have the street given in their address. I put in a neighbouring street, and that got me to close enough, where we were able to pick up the street location signs for it. Once you get to it, there is ample parking, and you just walk into the château via the marked signsAll in all a wonderful evening

Located on the rue Croix-de-Seguey in Bordeaux, this intimate and romantic restaurant is a top dining destination for discerning foodies. Run by the husband and wife team of Denis and Nelly Franc, the cream-coloured dining rooms at Le Pavillion des Boulev
If there is one dish to win my heart over in a restaurant, it is the smoked foie gras with coffee sponge at Le Pavillon des Boulevards. Itâs the perfect match of flavours and texture. It makes me want to go back to have that dish anytime again! We had a very nice dinner at the restaurant. All the dishes were beautifully presented and tasted delicious apart from the fish âtartarâ which perhaps needed a bit more intensity in its flavours. The wine matching with each course were great, compliments to the sommelier. Service was efficient and friendly. The ambience was tranquil. We got a table overlooking the courtyard. With the natural light of the long European summer days filling the all white interior of the restaurant, itâs very soothing and relaxing! Together with the delicious food, we could sigh a happy sigh: âAh! Life is good! â

All the reviews are spot-on.If you like Portuguese food, this is the place in Bordeaux. It's inexpensive, copious portions, with charming, friendly service. The whole atmosphere is very authentic, very much like what you'd experience in Portugal.Although it's decorated simply, it's an elegant place. The one disadvantage is it's FULL of children who are VERY loud (lots of family meals). So, not so romantic...We'd go back, just to try the suckling pig, which is a specialty, apparently.

Chose this restaurant as it was close to our hotel. Walked in and was seated quickly, but inside, the temperature was 41â, and the restaurant had no air con. After 15 mins, and no recognition from staff, we walked out. Now eating at a fantastic pizza place, 5 mins down the road.

Finding restaurants like this tucked away I a quite neighbourhood of Merignac is what visiting France is all about. The restaurant is family and couple oriented. There's a great welcome when you arrive into surroundings of traditional and modern. We tried the Chef's menu which was 3 courses and an amuse bouche all for â¬35. What a bargain for a. Saturday night. Good wines are available by the glass. The a la carte menu looked very tempting as well but it is tough to beat the Chef's menu. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

What a gem!! I had an amazing dinner at this very pleasant and not pretentious restaurant and will definitely be going back for more. Ordered a "menu" which began with a starter salad that was close to being a work of art. Ingredients were obviously very fresh and the presentation was first class. Could not have been better. For the main course I selected a fish dish that was served on a bed of black risotto. I was equally impressed with the presentation and it was totally delicious. The glass of rose' wine was really quite good and a bargain at less than 4 euro. The dessert was just as great as the rest of the meal. Service was very friendly and helpful and I didn't even have to use google translate as the waiter knew enough English to help me choose.Overall an excellent meal and the total with a glass of wine, a great cup of coffee came to about 27 euro. Add in 3 euro tip and it was 30 euro very well spent.

I would highly recommend the Restaurant Les Criquets. We had an absolutely fantastic meal there yesterday evening. The food was exceptional, the presentation a work of art. We had a 'tasting surprise menu" with foie gras, lobster, lamb and a variety of ice-cream. Each dish was served with an excellent appropriate wine.It is no surprise that this restaurant is a Michelin restaurant...well deserved. The staff were discreet, highly professionnal and more importantly, very welcoming and pleasant. We enjoyed the food and ambiance tremendously. We could walk here (convenient) from our airbnb apartment. Our first waiter spoke English well (shoot, I forget his name, but he learned watching American TV with subtitles and working at a bar!). The food was really great and affordable. Two of us went once, then brought others. The waiter actually recognized us the second visit (and they seem to be packed nightly).
