Stayed here for two nights hoping for great things after reading reviews, we had been hotel hopping for 8 days around Northern Spain and decided to stop here on our way back home to the Charente it is a lovely area to visit. The hotel was pleasant enough and the reception very friendly we checked in late afternoon and were looking forward to dinnerIn the adjoining restaurant,so we decided to chill out in our room which was not over large but had a balcony with views of the sea just about and the mountains, very pleasant.Later we got ready for dinner went down stairs only to be told that the restaurant was closed on Tuesday's very disappointing as you can imagine, so we decided to eat in the Bistro also attached to the hotel! Think again that was shut also, we were told we could find good restaurants in the town just a fifteen minute walk away! We were not impressed, fortunately it wasn't raining. Our room was a Superior Room so we were informed, the bed was very comfy although the duvet was for a king size bed and thisâ was a super king, if you sat up in bed you ended up wearing the bedside lights! The bathroom was roomy and fairly modern but the bath was very slippery and there were no handrails to hold on to, there was a shower rose but no fitting on the wall to support itAnd the sink was blocked! The toilet was separate in a fair size room for a wc so why the toilet paper dispenser was positioned under your left hand armpit I just don't understand. We never did try the restaurant because the breakfast was so poor we thought that the restaurant would be similar. Why would a hotel serve pre frozen burnt croissant and the day before bread rolls heated up for 12 euro when there is a bakers only two minutes away.Dears Sirs,Again, thank you for sharing your experience as you did on Booking.com. We truly wished you had share your opinion with us directly during your stay and not only after all and online. Maybe we could have done something in order to improve your satisfaction? Maybe a different room or different bedding? There is always something we can do. Please be sure we want full satisfaction of our guests, but, in order to do it, we do need some information from them. Two points we want to clarify: first able, the bistrot and the restaurant share the same kitchen, which is closed on Tuesdays. That is why both restaurants are closed on the same day. Again, you never mentioned dinner and just wanted to quickly install in you room.Second able, our chef cooks homemade âViennoiserieâ we are sorry you like the industrial ones better. Please accept our sincerest apologizes for this unpleasant stay. We believe we did our best. Our mistake. Weâll be more alert next time. Best regards, Ibarboure

Having read the reviews on trip advisor about this little place, we looked forward to eating there with anticipation, the restaurant itself is small, homely and your made to feel very welcome. If we are honest the food did not live up to our expectations, we found some courses bland and uninspired which in itself is quite a critical comment but we say things as we see them or in this case eat them. We found our experience here very 'rushed' as soon as they took one dish away the next course arrived without giving us chance to take a breath, i think all in all we had three courses and a bottle of wine and a G&T and where in and out within an hour and a half, which is very unknown for us. We also felt that the price was a little steep both for the wine and the food considering the quality of what we actually got, we come to Bidart every single year and know far more superior places to eat at a fraction of the price. It's a shame but we will not be making a return visit to L'antre next year.

The advantage of this restaurant is that it does not have an extensive menu so you do not have to read and take time to decide. Half a dozen starters, half a dozen main courses and half a dozen desserts. Just what is needed. Place the order quickly and then you can concentrate on enjoying the evening. Friendly service and they are ready to give you recommendations.

We ate here twice during our stay in Guethary (and probably would have gone again but they shut for 4 days at the end of the season). Unpretentious but delicious, inventive gastronomic cuisine. Friendly and welcoming staff and amazing chef (who is World runner up for his famous Pate en Croute). Loved the duck with truffle flakes, marinaded tuna, pate en Croute, poisson maigre & fish stew with consomme. Yum! Don't miss this if you're in the region - we'll be going back!

I went to this place with a local French friend who had known the place before. Newly introduced to the authentic French cuisine the crepes I had here have cemented my love for it. You can tune your crepe according to your taste. In dessert I had a salte caramel crepe with vanilla ice cream. And that was the climax of taste. The portions are reasonable and the prices are fair for the quality and quantity you get. Would love to come back.

Visited with my family while on holiday. Booking definitely recommended in peak season. Great pizzas and excellent cote de boef washed down with decent priced wine and wonderful views from the terrace. Lovely service as well. Recommended

We are a traditional Basque restaurant of about 50 seats, with a terrace overlooking the village square and views of the mountains. You can taste the local specialties (local charcuterie, tapas, Spanish hake, chipions à la plancha, veal axoa, txuleta 1kg
I think I expected something more from this restaurant. I ordered a salad with ham and cheese and my husband a fish. The lettuce was not really fresh (some leaves were dark) and I think that the fish was heated in microwave, as they arrive a few minutes after we ordered and it's impossible to cook that fish in such a short time. The location is really nice and the service was good.

On a wet and windy night found ourselves the first people in the restaurant. The waitress went through the food available and we shared the starter platter. It was superb - a massive plateful of regional specialities. The calamares were particularly good, but it was all delicious. I had the hake main course, my wife the pork. Again both were fantastic. We had a bottle of the Basque red wine. It was full-bodied and superb.By the time we left the place was full but this did not detract from the great service

Cosy restaurant in the center of Bidart with local and seasonal product. Open every evening from 7pm till 11.30Pm homemade cocktails.....
We can't fault this small friendly restaurant. The food was delicious & beautifully presented & the service by both waiters was efficient, friendly & they made excellent recommendations. It was so good we went back the next night & if anything it was even better. Make sure you book as it is always busy & they turned so many people away.

Welcome to Les Frères Ibarboure where culinary excellence and the art of hospitality run in the family. The new generation of brothers, Xabi and Patrice Ibarboure are now at the helm of this Michelin-starred gastronomic restaurant on the Basque Coast. The
If you can find your way to this restaurant--a considerable challenge--you'll have one of the best meals in the region. I disagree with a previous reviewer who claimed the cuisine was unimaginative. I thought it was interesting, refined, and... imaginative! The setting is also a treat: large windows making for a luminous dining room, well-spaced tables, and lovely views. The best among the 5-6 Michelin starred restaurants in the Biarritz area at which I dined recently.
