If you like Portuguese bbq, then Oporto may be for you, although no one speaks the language. Standard fare is just Chicken and Ribs, both are accompanied with a generous helping of fries, rice, or rice and beans. Oporto is a "churasquira" that compliments the original Portuguese ones. Not much ambiance if you eat in. Great healthy take-out.

Our 'foodie" friend came in from Denver to host a family dinner for us...I narrowed selection to 12 Islands and some other local Itakian eatieries and decided on 12 Islands....best decision ever...I had made reservations early in week and wait staff was incredibly comprehensive in descriptions of specials and menu entrees...The grilled octopus was soo tender and lightly dressed...we had 2 millinenials who swore they would never taste savor it...daughter had greek chicken with pasta thet was a winner and lunch today, son had gyro incedible portion...2 of us had seafood with pasta and white sauce which was incredible but the utimate winner was the grilled seafood platter with lemon potatoes. Crisp clean Greek wine...It was indeed a special meal ...wanted dessert but we wew all too full...host said later we should have taken baklava to go...Truly a hidden pleasure that I want to rediscover with friends in the future. Thank You for everything!!!

Anxious to support a local new restaurant we ordered take out from their online menu. The menu was robust with many tasty-sounding dishes offered. we decided on Skirt Steak w rice ($22.45) and Grilled Jumbo Shrimp with rice and a salad ($23.95). The salad and bean sides are all ala carte and up-charged.WE picked up our order on time and it was ready! Good deal until we got it home and found two huge aluminum trays filled 75% with rice and then the main item, in our case steak and shrimp. The rice was bland but plentiful. The Skirt Steak was chewy and not very tasty. Contrary to the pictures on their website there was no charring,The Grilled shrimp were not shelled and required a lot of effort to get to the meat. They were just passable - sautéed shrimp without shells leaves the spices and flavor on the shrimp meat itself, here you pulled the flavors right off with the shells.Overall as very disappointing first time experience with this restaurant which apparently is part of a chain. Will try again in a few months to see if they up their game a bit, but take out is really the only option as the place is in the train building in Berkeley Heights and only has a few tables for dining.

The restaurant is famous for serving authentic, classic French cuisine in an atmosphere reminiscent of the Provencal countryside. Chez Catherine provides a wonderful dining experience When you enter Chez Catherine imagine that you are traveling the French
Went here for a special birthday and was very disappointed. Small, pretty restaurant. While the service was good (except for repeatedly referring to tap water as "Westfield's finest" to every table), it seemed like they were understaffed as servers were rushing around. The food is another story, especially at the prices they charge ($70 for three course prix fixe). We had the salad and the mussels appetizer, which had a very good sauce, but the mussel meat was very unsubstantial. Salad was fine. We had salmon and filet mignon. The salmon was fine, but not 4* restaurant caliber. The filet mignon was very chewy and unappealing. For dessert we had the apricot tarte special and the Grand Marnier souffle ($5 surcharge). The tarte was very dense and thus quite hard. I would have preferred a softer version. The Grand Marnier souffle was poorly prepared and quite runny in the center. In other restaurants I have been to you always have to order souffle when you order your main meal because of the time it takes to prepare. Not here. You order the souffle when you order your dessert and it is served ten minutes later. You can make your own decision about that. Quite honestly I would not have been happy with my meal at half the cost. With one drink each it cost over $200 with tax & gratuity.
